Off Duty Shooting
- An off-duty Chicago officer fired shots at a suspect on the Far South Side, according to police.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday on Coles Avenue and 80th Street in the South Chicago neighborhood. Police said an off-duty officer was getting into her vehicle, when a man approached her. Witnesses tell WGN it may have been an attempted carjacking, but authorities have not confirmed that.
The female officer then fired shots at the man. He fled the scene, and was not hit.
Situational awareness.

Are you sure he wasn't hit?
folks without cars need to get to their corners too.
It was interesting how WBBM tried to put a demographic spin on the story. Scumbags.
And Prince Albert ran back into his can

yeah,could be bleeding out somewhere.
Good for her that she was paying attention to her surroundings. And had the chutzpah to ACT in time to save herself!
Sad that officers on or off duty must be that vigilant 24/7 in this city, always carrying Mr Smith. Adds to the job stress.
Wish that ordinary citizens would be so alert...so here's a few pointers to them:
Always be aware of those near you.....keep your face out of your phone......and keep the ear buds out of your ears!
Was she holding the gun sideways? That calls for better training.
So will the COPA thugs be investigating this, or the criminal state attorney Foxx? Hopefully the perp caught a round and he’ll slowly wither away with an infection.

Yeah there could be a black cloud of mosquitos
working overtime so a squad don't have to call
for a wash down
Another Community thug doing what they know best: ripping, running and gunning. He's probably at home cleaning the shit out of his pants.
OT
Who's got he inside scoop about and off duty cooper who was found slump over the wheel in her car after striking a few park cars. Then gave shit to POs on scene and threaten them by associating herself with some bf who's a gang banger.
There was a time when many coppers were proud to call the South Chicago District their residence of choice. Sadly, those days are long gone now.
"...was she holding the gun sideways?..."
Why not? That's the way it comes out of the box.
Don't say perp.
god bless the gordon family and to john n you retired deputy chief gordon.
