- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker says he's thankful that the state has not suffered a mass shooting like those over the weekend — without mentioning two major shootings with multiple deaths in the past decade.
The Democrat was asked Monday in Chicago about the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, which left a total of 31 dead.
Pritzker said: "Thank God that it hasn't happened here."
He made no mention of the Feb. 15 shooting at an Aurora warehouse that killed five or the one at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb on Feb. 14, 2008 that left five dead.
Past decade? What about the five just in the past six weeks in Chicago? Including two seven-victim shooting in the 010 District two days ago?

If that incident would have happened to Democrats playing baseball they’d be screaming to ban everything including playing baseball.

poster mentioned navistar plant shooting. i worked there about 10 years ago for ten days of 7/12 s on the overnite shift doing machine changeovers. you go past a huge bullet proof guard station who buzzes you in and out a reinforced steel door. our motley looking crew of about 20 drug in bags and boxes of tools and materials every night and were never searched or wanded. leaving in the morning we could never wake the mall cop in his bunker to let us out. screaming, banging hammers on the doors, etc it would take 20 minutes to wake jagbag up. modern security is an illusion. workers come from all over, we dont know each other, if someone started shooting we would be locked in with no recourse. gun free zone of course. never went back there but decided if i ever did i would have something in my hand besides my ed johnson if things went south. i didnt know till now about the mass shooting there they never told us. we have the second amendment for a reason, people need to quit listrning to the politicians with 24/7 armed body guards and take responsability for their own safety. thanks scc i learn so much here that the msm hides.
I'm a retired PO. One of my last cases involved an individual I caught with crack cocaine and a gun. This dude should of been launched for a long ass time. The sitting judge tells me that I was credible, but he was going to find the defendant guilty of drug possession, but not the gun. This would allow the judge to reduce the sentence and give this upstanding citizen a second chance. I then rode out my career not giving a rat's ass what happened in the hood. The entire system is corrupt. I heard the same story from other working cops. So screw new gun laws. The old ones don't even get enforced.
