Lolla Assholes
- Taking over Grant Park from August 1-4 to celebrate its 28th anniversary (15th calling the park home) the super-sized Lollapalooza music festival ended its four day event with one death, 31 arrests, 12 citations and 116 EMS transports, according to city officials.
Not to mention the usual gate crashers, at least one gun and then these two assholes:
- Two teens were arrested Sunday at Lollapalooza for allegedly punching a police horse.
The boys, 15 and 17, were among a group that was threatening each other and beginning to fight in the 400 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago police.
A CPD mounted unit officer tried to break up the scuffle about 7 p.m. by placing his horse in the middle of the group, police said.
The 17-year-old then punched the horse in the face, police said. When the officer tried to detain the teen, the 15-year-old stepped forward and also punched the horse.
The horse should get a free kick in cases like this, and we'll bet the animal rights crowd would be fully behind it.

Really angry about the horse. That horse may need some sideline time. They never forget abuse or abuser. It may start to shy away at critical times or even no longer tolerate crowds.
Horses are incredible and wonderful, and usually very gentle with a great sense of humor. It took me many, many years to retrain and calm a previously abused horse.
The CPD Morgans (if still using that breed) are truly amazing. Prayers for the horse that it not have any lingering issues.

A friends son worked Lola. He has for a few years. He said whoever was running security this year should be fired. It was the worst he's seen since he has been working here. He said hundreds, maybe a thousand people got through the barricades. He said he saw the director of OEMC talking about how these were tough NATO fences and laughed. It is ridiculous that with all the mass shootings and the Vegas shooter having targeted Lola, that a thousand people can breach the fences without being searched. He said they needed a lot more patrols outside and inside the fence. The problem is also that hundreds of unauthorized people who jump don't care if they get thrown out as they didn't invest in a ticket. Also, more people than authorized makes crowd harder to handle. The friends kid says he may not work there next year or attend as he thinks something bad could happen and he's actually a little afraid.

Why other than the City, County, and nearby suburbs is this drunken drug party tolerated in Chicago every year ? Seems our cultures morality is sinking fast, and being tolerated by our Politicians who are all out for the big bucks. Look around Chicagoland. Southwest Suburban areas are also bad, just in different ways. Villages and towns, Oak Lawn, Evergreen, Alsip, Palos, Worth, Hickory, make few DUI-related arrests compared to the 10's of thousands weekly that go to their local lounges, taverns, bars, and bistro's, getting liquored up, and just driving away, no doubt impaired, without a single glance from the Cops. Local pickup spots, like the Cheater's Club, (the Oak Lawn Hilton Lounge), (yes Married Ladies, if you are looking for your husband, he just be at the bar getting boozed up and checking out all the women from both in and out of town, every town has at least one), any afternoon, or any of the other local saloons, getting liquored up, while supposedly still at work on appointments, etc., then getting into their cars and driving on a regular basis after putting down several beers, vodka's, glasses of vino, etc. and out onto local streets, endangering the public regularly. Cicero Ave, 95th all on down is loaded with them. No wonder so many ambulances are always blasting thru these towns headed to Christ Hospital.
All this adds up to a Society that is slowly and steadily slipping out of Control, and when innocent people are hurt or killed, by a drunken bar patron or fester, it's the "Oh, We are gonna crack down Now" story from our local Politicians and Law Enforcement Supervisors and Leaders. Why don't any of them come up with some ideas for these young people to be able to have some good clean fun without Alcohol and Drugs being involved ? Why are bars and restaurants not watched more heavily by Cops while in between assignments, especially in the Suburbs, where they have more time to patrol, to see these impaired people leaving and getting behind the wheel of their vehicles ? Why do we put up with our Politicians always vowing to close the Barn Door after all the Horses have escaped ? Why do we let them remain in Office for so long when they have abysmal failure records ? Why is it that the more things change, the more they stay the same ?

Many moons ago (‘94, ‘95??) I had the pleasure of personally witnessing McNulty (it’s OK, statute of limitations) split wide open some assholes forehead with his Kel-Light. This after said asshole punched a police horse in the face while clearing out an unruly crowd at “The Taste”.
It was a beautiful thing to see on two planes; a white shirt with balls that had absolutely no issue literally “busting heads” and dudes melon gushing blood like a sieve after splitting open like a hotdog in a microwave.
Some tact guys then disappeared dude off site, dumping him God knows where, before anyone even had a chance to register what had just transpired.
To this day I can’t fathom why anyone would think a human-to-equine punch might have any effect on the animal. But I’m sure dude still remembers that fateful day every time he looks in a mirror and sees that huge scar.

Lolla agrees to serve only 2 alcoholic drinks to each legal age ticket holder and punches their ticket after purchase. After that, no more Alcohol. All attendees get searched for contraband weapons , booze, etc. prior to entry. All Acts-Performers will agree in writing to perform a No-Profanity , no degrading to anyone, politicians, etc. performance, with any violation grounds for immediate shutdown and huge fine, revaluation of deposit they will have to pay to perform. It is really time to get rid of the worthless big-talking Politicians, & Officials who fail to police misconduct on a large scale at these Events. Politicians and CPD, County Police, State Police Trooper Supervisors, our Cops are not babysitters so the Local Politicians can make money, they are for our protection. Let the organizers of these drunkfests be 100% responsible for them, and quit wasting Taxpayer Dollars Koww-Towwing to them at the expense of local Taxpayers. Enough is Enough. These horses are all named after fallen police officers killed in the line of duty. The only justifiable punishment I can think of for these two bastards is to severe to print on this forum but it just feels so good thinking about it.
