ISP Killed Serving Warrant

  • An Illinois State Police trooper has died from gunshot wounds suffered while executing a search warrant in East St. Louis. Illinois State Police Acting Director Brendan Kelly says 33-year-old Trooper Nicholas Hopkins, a 10-year veteran, died in St. Louis University Hospital.

Hopkins, of Waterloo, was wounded early Friday during an exchange of gunfire while serving the warrant at an East St. Louis home. After the shooting, police surrounded the home and arrested at least two people. Authorities say efforts to apprehend another suspect continue. Police didn't say if anyone else was shot, nor have they revealed the issues addressed in the search warrant.

Waterloo Mayor Tom Smith says Hopkins was married and the father of four-year-old twins and an infant daughter.
Deepest condolences to his wife, children, friends and the Illinois State Police family.

Godspeed Trooper.

here's the deal.....warrants should be handled the following way......
1. everyone fully body armored up to include facemask ballistic helmets.
2. bull horn blasts instructions to the offender inside.
3. all parties enter the building with guns up and fingers on trigger, with police fully indemnified including punitive damages.
4. If not agreed to, warrants will no longer be served.

Dear Lord Above,

PLEASE may this be the last. Protect those who protect us, your faithful flock. And strike into the nether regions those who would harm either. Let them know the power of your mighty vengeance.

Condolences, God bless.
This is what happens when there is a breakdown in law and order.
No respect for the police and no self-respect and anything goes.
There needs to be a review of the tactics used when warrants are served and then changes need to be made.
You can't make anything 100% safe but there needs to be procedural changes made.
The Police that put their lives on the line everyday trying to make the world safer for all of us deserve nothing less.

LEO, please be safe in everything you do because it’s open season on us. Stay at the ready. Commend yourselves to God to start your day, pray for wisdom, understanding, courage, and compassion. Pray that God make you triumphant
over your enemy and that when your enemy comes to destroy you, may he fall to the floor before you. Ask this in the name of Jesus Christ.

You did not give your life; it was stolen from you.
May the person who did this be haunted every day until they die, and be haunted after.
May your loved ones, family, friends, and colleagues find their peace in time.
May those who wear shields, stars, and badges find the shooter, and bring them to justice.
Rest in Peace, Trooper Hopkins.

Enough of this crap. Killing any Law Enforcement Officer has to be punishable by the Death Penalty, period!

If the States won't do it, then the Feds MUST! Let the Commies at the ACLU and the criminal friendly democrats all whine and howl, fuck them all.

If you Kill a Cop, then We The People will kill you. End of story.
(Thanks Obama, you asshole. This War on Police is all on YOU!)

I feel for these Troopers. They are always miles from one another working solo. My deepest sorrow goes to all his love ones. GOD bless everyone. I hope they allow partners for those patrolling inside Chicago or high crime spots in Illinois. Chicago (CPD) depletes manpower on midnight shifts and makes units 99 in dangerous conditions. They once claimed they would stop doing this but you can see it clearly on the scheduling. There should be a little more caution regarding putting new officers together in plain clothes vehicles. I understand the depolicing has bosses scouting rookies to do dangerous work. This a safety issue and must be addressed before more officers are murdered.

There is no fear in killing a policeman. Thank you liberal's,DemocRATS,and ACLU,were criminals are given more protection than policemen. Anyone that kills a policeman should get the death penalty. Be safe and God Bless!

When a policeman gets killed there's no outcry from politicians and our fake priests and ministers. When a honor roll gang banger or criminal gets killed all hell breaks loose. So sad when society places criminals before policemen.

Josh Randall Says:

Troopers, Rangers, Conservation Officers are mostly out there on their own, many times in the middle of nowhere. Crazies are everywhere, not just the big cities. We live in a highly mobile society. Fellow LEO’s, Retired LEO’s, Corrections Officers, etc; Always watch out for them and have their backs. They are our brothers and sisters . Most of them do the same for us. Stop all petty nonsense and stick together. Perhaps then we will all have fewer wakes and funerals to go to. Rest in Peace, ISP Trooper & Brother Officer.

His blood is on the hands of Obama. It was Obama who vilified the police and made martyrs of common criminals who died resisting police. He made it okay to resist arrest and eroded the authority of the police in the black community. When you have the President of the US, high profile people like Kaepernick and the mainstream media all advancing the concept that there is nothing wrong with resisting arrest then this is the result.
There is a direct cause and effect related to the anti-police rhetoric. The libatards have made the police targets and 3 little kids will grow up without their daddy.

The Satanic brown clown, obama, and his minions, are the ones largely responsible for the mass disrespect of Police Officers nationwide. This Joker thinks he is some Hot Shit, but in due time, he too will fall. He should be in Gitmo now, instead of having just bought a 20 million dollar mansion. This disrespectful hater deserves nothing but the worst. Hopefully soon too.
