Radical Islamic Terrorists crashed hijacked commercial jets into the World Trade Center, killing thousands of people. 8,000 school children who were in school had to be evacuated in full view of the horror as it was taking place.
These maniacs caused monumental devastation, closed U. S. airspace for the first and only time in history and killed thousands of Americans.
9-11-01 is remembered in infamy. It has forever changed our country. On that date we witnessed a contrast between those who are so possessed by evil that they are willing to die in order to murder innocent victims....and good, dedicated, caring human beings who are dedidacted and willing to risk their lives to save total strangers. It is these good people we call heros. The U. S. met the worst of humanity with the best of humanity.
Let remember the innocent victims whose lives were taken or forever changed, the heros who sacrificed to save others, & those heros who lost their lives.

They are competing with social media - the bastion of "information" and "facts" for a vast majority of people who can't pay attention longer than a 20-second soundbite, whether written or oral. It use to be that newspapers were the backbone of investigative journalism - Pentagon Papers, Watergate - etc. But not in this new age where social media rules. For it, we all suffer.

Well, if what you say is accurate ( and I am a skeptic), then why don't people like you speak up? I am suspicious of Islam and how it treats people. But, I do not see many Muslims speaking up against the ignorance, discrimination, hate and cruelty that seems to go on in the Muslim community.Liberal democrats even defend the Muslims of the Middle East, the Palestinians particularly even though they practice what the left purports to be against.And, lets not forget the lefts embrace of Louis Farrakan.

It would be naive to assume that the left is a single voting block of black, poor, atheists, who love nothing more than to rage on twitter and take instruction from the NYT. Left leaning media like the NYT do have to sell their articles (online or in papers) and they end up publishing the garbage they do, not because they are thought leaders funded by the liberal elite, but because it sells - it sells clicks and reposts. That’s a free market system that’s creating the effect of an echo chamber. If, in fact, you believed otherwise, then you would be forced to say that the free market is weak and not the best system for society and therefore we need to regulate content and 1st amendment rights. None of that makes any sense In our country. The problem is that the voice of that media is loud, and the right has a similar echo chamber phenomenon. The left assumes the right is told when to do by Fox News, and then paints everyone as a racist. Very few on either side regularly engage directly with the opposition media outlets - and when I watch Fox News, I get asked why (my response is that if the right is so wrong, how could 1/2 the country not see it?). Same on the left - they’re not as crazy or as extreme as some of the loudest sources would let you believe. If they were - elections and free markets would be a terrible way to run a country and we should just go and have a royal family or dictator to make all decisions for everyone else
Some of us do call out the left, even the extreme leftists like Bill Maher call out the SJW on twitter and abhor the virtue signaling out of Hollywood. I dot support Bernie or Warren, I think they’re ideas are too far left, but the others aren’t socialist. Like there is a literal definition of socialism, and none even come close. It’s worth reading into, because socialism is pretty extreme compared to what the democrats are today.
I, in fact, used to be a die-hard Republican, and I called out that party too when I was continuing to vote for it. I moved away when the party ignores the financial realities of cutting investments that had would later come back to bite us financially. And arguing against states rights when it served their corporate interests. Or when they suspended my 4th amendment rights in the name of “security”, and when they authorized a war, slapped it together, and sent my family away to go fight people who had nothing to do with 9/11 or WMD. Still rail against the city and state Democrats who follow those footsteps.
I think both parties are trash, and I believe that most people are not racist, nor SJWs, but those are the loudest and worst who attract the most clicks from the opposing sides. We’d do a lot better if we didn’t project our worst assumptions upon our neighbors who lean a little to the other side
