- Pussle willingham is at it again. The four time merit hack came into roll call and told us he just talked to the commander, who’s in Virginia for training. Pussel said, according to the commander, we have no idea what we’re in for when comes back from training. He’s been keeping up on everything happening in 007 and the blog.
Well, this should be interesting.
Word of advice to 007 - buy a pocket recorder. He's giving you plenty of notice. You won't be able to use it in any legal proceedings, but if you upload it as a sound file, we'll broadcast it all over creation.

I’ve been very fortunate to have, for the most part, very good sergeants and even some lieutenants. Within recent history, I’ve been unfortunate to have a Lieutenant and a commander mentioned on here quite a bit. And getting these shitty supervisors really makes you appreciate the good ones. If I didn’t know any better, I’d be wondering how people with such poor management and people skills could have possibly been promoted.

I work in 007, have for a while. Though I find the incidents reported here about 007 funny and embarrassing at the same time I realized that no one I spoke to knew when the alleged incidents were occurring. Maybe the one incident with a traffic stop a while back, but the others could be fabricated. Anyway, carry on. Just thought I'd add that we read it laugh and then were puzzled because the commander is hardly ever around or.

Actually, this is terrible advice. Read the general orders. If you choose to do this to ANY officer, even a supervisor and it is not a community interaction or interaction as described in the general order and that supervisor or fellow officer you are recording finds out they can really stick it too you and get you in a jam. I absolutely would not do this. You can document anything you want but when it comes to screwing around with this body cam they can get you bad. People think that all discipline is out the window with the body cam since the unfair labor practice.. you are only half correct. You cannot be disciplined for NOT turning on the camera.. that was ruled in our favor in the unfair labor practice, but once you choose to turn on your camera you can now be disciplined for any actions you do with that camera. Camera not on and you dodge disciplin. As soon as you turn it on that is the point they can start discipline. Learn from someone who knows VERY well about the teaching and education of all the ins and outs of the BWC program.. that would be me hint hint...

If it was me and they were all crying then I would make sure that every partner was broken up, absolute strict 15 percent for days off. No call ins the day of trying to drop slips. No call in of hey I need two on the front etc. if you don’t give your 48 hour notice of elective time use then it would be denied. No more , “hey squad I’m heading in to do a report or ISR”. Nope, stay on the street all day long. No more hanging out at the desk on the computer or in the hallway killing time. You would only be allowed in the station at roll call, an arrest, exactly 30 min lunch and a personal to go to the bathroom. And if you need to come into the station for a bathroom break then you absolutely WILL drop a personal for it. No more sgts approving people for court misses. No more SIF or doctor appointment without submitting a valid doctors note prior to the court date. You think it’s bad now??? Man oh man, it could be so much worse. I’m a very nice guy but the absolute one thing I can’t stand from coppers is how entitled and whiney they are. Kinda different. In sos we got taken care of because we worked every single day. Lots of arrest and lots of guns. All that activity justified us getting taken care of. Now the kids in the department get triggered and offended if you ask them to do their job and expect to work straight days with all holidays and weekends off.

Those advocating secretly recording supervisors, beware. Know the law and G.O. before spewing such nonsense. You can't surreptitiously record using the BWC or any recording device. This is why you have to tell the person you are recording he/she is being recorded. Or during an interrogation, before recording, must receive arrestee's consent to digitally record interview (unless crime being interviewed is for 1/13 mandated offenses). So if you choose to record your boss secretively, prepare to pay out in damages at the very least.

He is not merit. He is not Dale’s brother, he is a nephew. He is a former Marine who has already beaten cancer once. His wife is currently fighting cancer now. Do they have receptacles at the entrance to the roll call room to leave your balls? If you have an issue address it at roll call or privately with him. Englewood has been shit since the mid ‘70’s. Thanks for making it so simple retired dic. I'm sure if it was as easy as a snap of the fingers to leave 007 then just about everyone would be gone. Now, I don't work in 007 so I don't know if any of this is true or not. I do know that if he is an asshole, it wouldn't be very smart to confront him about anything. I got all the respect for people that served in our military but that's like comparing apples to oranges on our job. If he's complaining about coppers dogging jobs, being idiots, and not being able to do simple tasks like getting to work on time, then he's in the right and fuck the millennial coppers. However, if he's complaining about lack of activity like tickets and arrests then tell your buddy to strap on a body cam and have at it. Nothing annoys me more then some asshole old time boss that pushes these young dumb kids for activity. If I'm wrong about him, then my apologies.
Actually, this is terrible advice. Read the general orders. If you choose to do this to ANY officer, even a supervisor and it is not a community interaction or interaction as described in the general order and that supervisor or fellow officer you are recording finds out they can really stick it too you and get you in a jam. I absolutely would not do this. You can document anything you want but when it comes to screwing around with this body cam they can get you bad. People think that all discipline is out the window with the body cam since the unfair labor practice.. you are only half correct. You cannot be disciplined for NOT turning on the camera.. that was ruled in our favor in the unfair labor practice, but once you choose to turn on your camera you can now be disciplined for any actions you do with that camera. Camera not on and you dodge disciplin. As soon as you turn it on that is the point they can start discipline. Learn from someone who knows VERY well about the teaching and education of all the ins and outs of the BWC program.. that would be me hint hint...

You don't know as much as you think you know. The law and general orders require that you use the body cam. Not turning it on when required is a violation of the law and general orders. If you think you can't be disciplined for violating laws and general orders, you're completely clueless. Please don't try to give advice on things you're supposedly "in the know" about. I assume you're suggesting you teach this shit at the academy. God help us all.

Russ has never had a merit promotion and was a patrolmen in 1998, so how could he have been in a sgts class based on merit. Also the fact you say he has been promoted 4 times based on merit makes zero sense, that would mean he is above captain. LT means he had been promoted twice. For all the whining that everyone in 007 does you guys sure can't wait to run all your warrants over the zone, get that 143A over the radio, chase cars hourly, and go down on every stop over the air so everyone thinks your out there "doing it"... If you are that miserable in 007 and the bosses are so bad, STOP DOING ANYTHING! Ask anyone was was there when Carothers was commander what happened.
