The other day, we teasingly said that 016 had surpassed 011 in October homicides after the slaughter on Irving Park Road. The totals were around five-to-one.
It seems the denizens of 011 took offense at that and have started up the recently dormant killing machine with two in two days, closing the gap and letting the world know just who are the baddest of the bad.
So to the men and women in 011, we apologize if anything we said in jest increased your workload during what was a promisingly slow October leading into winter.
Seventy is still well within reach - we're just saying.

I worked out there in the 70's and 80's and it seems nothing has changed, with the exception of decreased population ( through murder, incarceration and some people smart enough to move) and more vacant lots. I worked in A/4 VC, from 1986-1998. I believe 011 had at least 100 murders every year for the entire time I was there. Usually somewhere near 250 or better for the area each year. Those were the days.

To the person that posts the murders by district... can u post the agg batts per district? That more closely reflects the treachery going on in a given district. Murders can be skewed by a few mass shootings.

Off topic. All the classes, recruits, promotional classes, and those mandated by the fed. Parking is a BITCH. Why don't the powers that be, utilized 1 of 50 schools to teach these classes? I'm just asking.
Another example of an over promoted supervisor thinking things don’t apply to them. Thanks Capt. K. Murphy for showing up for one hour of use of force training today. Once the exercises started her and her admin Sgt. Who came with her disappeared, and by the looks of it those two needed the training more than anyone else in class.

So speaking of 011 what happened to Kevin Johnson? He was supposed to be sentenced in September. If he's waiting to go to IDOC or FBOP he should be appearing as an inmate and listed as "Not in custody" but enrolled in the system.

The best part about working in 011 (or any ghetto district) is when you stay fetal, Slow roll, etc. ...you're providing the kind of police "service" that community deserves. I'd feel too guilty if I had to do it somewhere that appreciates the police.
