Restricted Time Due?
- President Donald Trump, who has been attacking Chicago’s handling of crime for years, plans to make his first visit to Chicago as president on Oct. 28 for a high-dollar fundraiser and possibly a speech to a national convention of police chiefs.
Trump hits the city for a lunch co-hosted by Cubs co-owner Todd Ricketts, chairman of the combined fundraising efforts for the Trump 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee. As of Friday, a source said the location has not been finalized; one possibility is Trump International Hotel & Tower, 401 N. Wabash Ave., or another downtown venue. Wrigley Field has been ruled out as a venue.
This is NOT an emergency. It's a pre-planned event. So you can bet the City is going to violate the Contract once again, attempting to cancel everyone's days off or limiting Time Due.

My wife and 2 granddaughters went to his last event,if the CPD gets stand down orders again and my family gets abused,this will be the last protest for many protesters.
The GALA is planned for Saturday October 26th at Trump Tower. That will be the day. Protest already planned.

Did you see NATO? A lot of hickory Jesus going around. NATO here was nothing compared to what they did in other cities, mainly because we kept them in check. Also, we’ve had plenty of trump protests dating back to his election. We held them pretty in check there too. BUT, we do have a new mayor, so i guess we will see the order that come from the top on how they want us to handle this.

I have a gut feeling that this could be very ugly.
I attended the rally back in 2016, was inside UIC Pavilion when the announcement was made the then candidate Trump would not appear. I bolted out a back door and was on Blue Line lickety-split. That the event was cancelled due to the leftie jagoffs was an extreme disappointment, look forward to attending this go around.
I hope they do. I could use some OT for the holidays. And if they violate the contract on top of it, then grievances will be filed and mo money, mo money, mo money!

The department stands behind you! It's OK to not be OK... UNLESS you want to tac a day off onto RDOs...DENIED. The dept is recently talking up mental health, EAP etc. Yet they deny time due requests frequently. That's OUR time to use as WE see fit. Some of us "barely" keep our mental health by taking random days off to decompress and be away from this job, yet time due is so easily denied due to "manpower shortage" I don't give a shit about manpower shortage. That's a problem the city and dept. created and WE suffer. Taking that "Consent ddcree" mandatory elearning, I saw a section about officers mental health, hiring more psychiatrists, etc. How about you hire more cops so we can take days off as we need them. Just a thought. I guess it's easier to make nice speeches about officers who kill themselves AFTER the fact than to just approve time off.
