Reorganization Coverage

Here's the media coverage of the re-organization that's going to be sweeping away the questionable decisions of the McCarthy era:
  • Mayor Lori Lightfoot will reopen two old detective bureaus and put 151 cops back on the street under a reorganization plan that includes the creation of a new department to merge operations currently done by the Chicago police and fire departments and the city’s 911 center.

Lightfoot Budget Director Susie Park said Chicago police, fire and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications each currently do their own payroll, information technology work and human resources, but those functions would be consolidated under a new Office of Public Safety Administration.

Currently, the city has three detective regions known as Area North, Area South and Area Central. Lightfoot will reopen the Harrison Area on the West Side and Grand Central Area on the Northwest Side in an attempt to increase collaboration by detectives and patrol officers, the mayor’s office said.
Fun times on tap!

The goal is to open the three district's and put all active members from the 22 district's back on the street. This means time keeps, Commanders Secretary, and desk personnel.

This means all CPD, CFD, and OEMC civilian employees under grants/Homeland Security, finance, payroll, and administration will all report to the new Public Safety Headquarters. Eliminating the positions of Directors and Deputy directors under Police, Fire, and OEMC. Susie and Frank Lindbloom will be running the show now.

Consolidation of public safety under one newly spawned clout authority.

If this were a MAGA city, and a MAGA county, and a MAGA state, well, quite the contrast would there be.

As is, it's the building of city clout vs county clout.

Now, is it possible that ribbit, ribbit, ribbit head has just enough brains to not fuck this all to toad shit?

We have the approaching winter mild pause to find out.

This is all a good idea. Those areas should have never been closed in the first place and let's keep emptying out 35th steet and the other hiding spots and let's get these "cops" back on the street.

Reopening the Detective areas probably has little to do with operational efficiency. It is about creating spots.

Area Commander (+ staff)
Section heads
Secretaries

More dead weight papers shuffling spots.

The Soviet Union used to do the same thing. Five years after Stalin dropped, Khrushchev discovered all of the mismanagement and spent 18 months purging Stalin from their history books. A few years after Nicky was informed that he had retired, the cycle repeated. At least you're not toppling over three meter statues of the former leaders in order to sanitise the history.

Reorganization of the CPD (it’s for consent decree mandate) but Loafers won’t be adding any new hires.
How come Groots City Hall hasn’t seen any consolidations?

Roached out Area 4 & 5 should have been hazmat demolitions.
Amazing is that both of these buildings were built by same developer along with the Academy, around the same time and only the Academy which is being scrapped and seemed to be the one with the least structural/mechanical problems by comparison.
Parking is going to be horrendous at both.
Will they try and cram more Dets into districts stations along with Unit schlubs?
CAPSmice staffing getting a consolidated reduction?

It also means a whole lotta more Merits will be added to supervisory pool.

Most of that 150 are in Info Svs - a lot of smart people who joined CPD after the tech bubble burst in 2005. Hopefully they get offered civilian spots for more pay in the new department. They’ve done a lot of good at D-1 pay which is well below their worth.

The point of this is simple. It’s to give more No show high paid city jobs to people and folks, lgbtq types and social justice wartiors. Cops will be spent to babysit feral predators In Englewood and Fillmore. It will accomplish nothing but making tax paying neighborhoods less safe. Hope you lori supporters are all happy. Thanks Joyce and RINO Lausch for the burke phony shit show to take out Daley, Mendoza and Preckwinkle clearing the way for Lori to be victorious. All by design.

Several times over the past decades the city put civilians in sensitive places that had access to police personnel private information. Those that gave out that unauthorized information. In today's climate do we really need to do that again?

We got: Lori and Toni and Susie running the show now, just like on the TV shows. Feminism destroyed the nuclear family, but that was the plan: get BOTH parents working to pay taxes, taxes, taxes. Have to hire daycare to raise our kids. Have to spend $$ for private schools nowadays; another tax.

We could all be living a good life if it wasn't for parasites.

Don't worry about the 150 from 35th. I'll bet they will all get spots in the CAPS 2.0 office coming soon to a district near you. Need a Lt, Sgt and about 8 POs to man it.

I think that';s a big part of why they are reopening. Consent decree demands all these supervisors and there's no room for them in the Area's now. Spread them out a little.

Contact cards have solved some homicides by placing the offender as a frequent visitor to an area.....thereby helping to disprove an alibi
