016 Again
- Four men were stabbed, one fatally, and another man beaten Monday after an argument over a damaged car in Portage Park on the Northwest Side.
They were walking to their parked car about 2:04 a.m. in the 5300 block of West Irving Park Avenue when another vehicle struck it, according to preliminary information from Chicago police. The men got into an argument with the male who hit the car.
The male, who had a knife, got out of his vehicle possibly with another male, police said. The fight turned physical, and four men were stabbed. A fifth man who was with the group was punched in the face.
Four-versus-one (maybe two). Three critical, one dead, most with torso/chest wounds.
That is a dangerous person. That is also why we shoot people with knives.

No they are not!!! The 500 percent increase occurred because while a family was eating dinner a disgruntled neighbor walked in and shot and killed 4 of them. 1000 more officers in 016 couldn’t have prevented that and the tact team was not detailed to 011 and 015

The witness reported that five men approached the pickup truck and two men exited the truck and a fight ensued, police said. The witness reported that during the fight one of the men from the truck pulled out a long knife and stabbed four of the five men, and that when he went to his own vehicle and retrieved a baseball bat the two men returned to the truck and drove away east on Irving Park, police said.A 27-year-old man, two 28-year-old men and a 29-year-old man were stabbed during the incident and transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious or critical condition, and one of the 28-year-old men was pronounced dead at about 2:50 a.m., while another 28-year-old man was transported by a family member to Community First Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries from the fight, according to police. Makes perfect sense with the dim witted mindset of this department. Instead of busting him down to Lt they will let him keep some exempt power as a Captain. 016 has a lot of patrolmen and a couple bosses that left 025 because of the shitty conditions Escamerit caused. That dynamic will make for another entertaining chapter in Anthony's career. Plus, and this is key, he is very chauvinistic and won't enjoy taking orders from a female commander. If she's smart she won't let him do anything. Whatever you do, make sure you keep him away from the CAPS office so he doesn't treat it like his own singles bar and day care service.
If City Hall was smart, which they aren't, they would demote him to Lieutenant and put him in a district where a Captain and Commander knows him and hates him. Make his life miserable until he puts in his papers to retire. He's only 49 though so either way he's fucked to an extent with alimony and child support. Only jagoffs we had to vaguely worry about was Gaylords and they were just harmless jagoffs who got off harassing more than anything else. Glad we got my Dad out of his house. Rumor is there were a few 25th district dollies watching this entire incident go down through the window of the bar. B.N. and A.R. who work a beat on the west end of 025. Sources say they watched the entire incident and didn’t do anything, not even call the police to prevent this horrific crime. Sure hope the detectives don’t pull surveillance from that bar and the rumor is true. Turns one of these dollies is related to an alderman too!!!! More 25th district shenanigans.

So what, I'd do the same. In this day and age you do nothing. The offender was long gone and no danger to on duty POs. If you're in a bar and off duty the first question the defense attorney is going to ask is how much did you drink? As the saying goes no one is innocent after midnight.

I’m with you on that. 25 years on you should be looking to retire or a spot. Maybe a spot in 016 say front office or spot like that or are they all taken
025th district dollie was apparently involved in an on duty traffic crash. And she promptly called out that it was a dui driver when in fact it was not. Another great example of police work from this one. Even on the job her incompetence continues to shine
dollie couldn’t be bothered during her lunch. Instead she chose to sound like a fool on the radio. She is the real police though. Hopefully she gets dumped to midnights.

Sutherlands is a strange place. It's packed most afternoons even though there is no where to park anywhere around it because of the car dealers, other businesses and zones. Wonder what they are giving away that makes them such a draw?

Its a good bar with good food. Alot of coppers ussualy at the bar
