We aren't sure about his felony record (we've gotten mixed info), but we do know that he held SWAT at bay for hours on Lake Shore Drive threatening suicide. That would make it pretty much a given that he can't legally own a gun in Illinois.

Yes I would assume that that mental health episode would preclude him from owning a weapon/having a CCL for awhile.

Another question: Can it be proven based on that photo alone that it is an actual firearm and not an airsoft\replica\bb gun etc? Enough for a vehicular search if you saw him 5 minutes later, sure. But enough for court? Doubt it.

a defense attorney told me that if you shoot someone in self defense ,what you post in social media or put on a sign on your house ( trespassers will be shot), could be used against you in any possible trial.
