This is ridiculous. I work in 011 and I’m pissed that these guys/gals from 016/020/017 etc are being put in 011. I’m sure if they wanted to work in 011, they would’ve put in a PAR form. I’m pissed, for one, because it’s not right that they get take these coppers from quieter areas to force them to work in 011. When I get enough time to get to some place like 016 or 020, I don’t want to have to be forced to go back to 011 when I bid and was assigned to let’s say 020 or 016. It’s not affecting me now, I’m stuck in 011 anyways, but I have the forethought and mental brain power to understand that I would be furious if it happened to me. Some of these guys spent years in 011 and finally earned their way out to some place quieter only to be sent back. Don’t get yourselves in trouble boys and girls during these surges. Sit on a corner, maybe grab a cigar, talk to your partner for the night, and most importantly, sit back and enjoy the circus.

Dear Garfield Ridge hate to tell you it’s only going to get worst. Bt 1621 has nightly ravaging thru cars and yards will little to no police service. It’s a virtual buffet up here for the ne’er-do-wells. It’s a full time job cleaning us out in Wildwood and Edgebrook along with going into the suburbs across the street Bunker Hill in Niles sometimes they cross over into 017 Bt 1711 and pillage Sauganash then onto Lincolnwood Towers .The CPD stats are then split into two districts causing it not to look so bad. No midnight missions going on up here. Our assigned police are always detailed out to 011. Wake up tax payers call the police and document everything.

You’d be surprised that the average person doesn’t know this. I’m one of those police whose friends are mostly non-police & I’m their only “cop” friend, so they don’t hear this stuff from all directions on a daily basis. I had a friend from downstate make his monthly treatment visit at Northwestern Hospital the other day. He remarked how quiet Chicago was, how vacant the streets were. Yeah, I told him but “that’s only in certain parts of the city- other parts, the radio is busy & the street corners are like there is no pandemic order in place.” He’s not the only non-police friend I have who has no idea how not every community is at a standstill because of the Coronavirus.
This has to stop immediately!The decay of your somewhat safe neighborhoods has commenced. Let your voices be heard, call the alderman in you ward and call your boot licker commanders in your district!!!

Obviously you played the manpower game with the assignment sheets. I liked when a district’s manpower was reported as 320 people, but 51 were detailed out and never saw the district ever, but still counted in their total strength.

For 2019, Dallas Texas only had 210 homicides. 10 of those were justified. Per Heyjackass we are at 137 right now. Don’t know how many of Chicago shootings are justified.

It is done on a daily basis city wide as officers pull up lame before roll call or 1 partner goes home and the other is assigned to double up on another 1 man car ,or a regular beat car goes into overtime and is relogged as an x-ray car.

"buckle your seat belts, we're headed to the moon". Who makes nonsensical statements like that. Did you take Dallas to the moon? Your track record there appears to be mediocre but no "launch pad blast off", certainly didn't leave the surface of the earth. Why would you say you're taking us to the moon.
Last night you were out in 016 at roll call along with two Aldermen (38th & 41st wards) and you were forced to apologize for being stupid. Is that heading to the moon? Sounds like you're heading to perdition not the moon. Don't be stuck on stupid.

Yes, I like them, too. Both names are quite timely and amusing, but few will stay with them because both names are too long. J-FED, J-FLED, G-MAC, shanks and 9.5 were all winners. The longest was specialEd, which is still shorter than Moondoggie and Gidget Le Groot. As time passes and Brown's tenure becomes more and more tarnished, the universe will assign a Chicago moniker to him.
