Let's see - zero social distancing, non-essential job being performed by someone who should be sitting at home like every other barber / hairstylist in Illinois, no masks or gloves.
- Mayor Lori Lightfoot defended getting a haircut over the weekend even though barbers and stylists were shut down under the state’s stay-at-home order, saying she’s the face of the city and the woman who cut her hair wore a mask.
Asked about photos on social media showing her with a stylist, Lightfoot acknowledged getting a haircut, then said the public cares more about other issues.
“I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities. I think that’s what people care most about,” Lightfoot said.
With a sizable portion of the watch looking like Sideshow Bob, we don't mind at all spending a little bit of time on why someone who's face is all over internet memes staying "Stay at home or else!" suddenly feels the need to get something that every other person in the state can't get lest they be fined or even jailed.

So she needs to get her hair done so she can look good.

Yes, you’re correct. She doesn’t tip. I was having a beer in the lounge of a restaurant downtown. She comes in for lunch with her entourage. The owner, for some ungodly reason, comps her lunch. A bit later, he comes over to where I’m sitting and grouses to me that she didn’t leave a tip. I asked him what he expected.

That’s odd. There is no Cashmere Neal listed on the IDFPR website as a state licensed cosmetologist, barber, etc. You know, the license that certifies that they have undergone the proper hygienic and sanitary standards to perform the task without causing/spreading infectious disease.
Typical ghetto M.O. Always a different set of rules for them. But don’t worry, the licensed hair salons/barbers in the 8th district are all shut down. Those workers don’t need to eat, after all. And people in my neighborhood don’t need haircuts.

She didn’t grow up in a ghetto. She grew up working class like a lot of whites. She just bought into her bullshit that she’s been oppressed. How do you get elected class president of I’ll go out on a limb and say mostly white high school, not once but three times, if you grew up under so much racism. On top of that so many other opportunities afforded to her not afforded to poor whites or working class whites, simply because she is black. I grew up in a working class home. My parents had to work two jobs most of their lives. I was a good student, smart- you know what I got offered: loans. I watched the daughter of a doctor get a scholarship because she was black. I worked shit jobs to pay for college. No great work opportunities came my way because of my skin color. I’m tired of this bullshit. I’m tired of paying for other people’s opportunities.

Does this hateful statement make you feel better about yourself? Will it be funny to you if democrats steal and destroy my, and ostensibly your, pensions? I worked 31 years, and they took my money for the promised pension every paycheck of those 31 years. I always dreaded working with downer guys that had your attitude… thank God for time on the end!
The mayor should at minimum receive and admonishment from a high ranking police official.
