Create alternate lines of communication NOW. Get alternate and official accounts set up on social media such as FB, Twitter, Gab etc. At the very least you'll have people who can see what happened to you. Be prepared to reach out to right leaning media as well if needed.
Good luck and god speed. Don't always agree with everything you say but you're an important voice who actually gets to see things that city hall would like to keep us ignorant on.
It is critical that you set up some form of alternative means (or a few) to reach people and make them publically known. Twitter/FB/gab (which I consider a cesspit but the least likely to be involved in a coordinated attack although they'll likely try to pool you into the alt right with that association) and last but not least keep backups of your site if possible so you can move it to your own hosting. I'm not sure how Blogger works in that regard.
I just wanted to say that I’m always constantly amazed at how once you get 20 minutes outside of Chicago, the completely different reaction people have to being law enforcement. It’s always, “thank you,” when they find out. And even after 20 years it’s still very surprising and kind to hear. There are many places where people don’t consider us to be the enemy, and people actually do appreciate what we do. I only wish we could be treated better in the city we live and work in, and by our elected officials...and honesty by each other. Because we should be treating each other a hell of a lot better than we do, considering how crappy things are. We’re strong only when we’re united, and weak when we’re splintered and divided along various lines.

The left’s control of the media at all levels is the first step by pols controlling the messaging and information. Without the freedom to exchange information, to challenge information/ideas, Liberty dies.
Though now run by a demorat Governor in Wisconsin, it has a repub legislature, nice people I’ve met and a population of just over 5.8 million.
The best part is that sales tax is 5.5%, no water bottle tax, no plastic bag tax, and gas is cheap. I know there are southern and western states that have a lot to offer but if you can’t escape to those states consider Wisconsin.
Keep up the good fight as long as you can. And I second the statement that there are millions of like-minded, decent people out there. Moved to OH from tyrannical NY and it is like a breath of fresh air. It isn't perfect, but especially in rural areas, it is a great place to raise a child. Would love to have any of you as neighbors if you, like my family, finally have enough of the blue tyrants and decide to move out.

SCC, no offense, but you don't even have to go 100 miles. From certain points of Chicago's Western Border, 'beautiful DuPage County', and thousands of Right-Thinking people, and NO Folk ;-) -- is as close as only Six Miles as the crow flies.
Granted DuPage isn't as 'Red' as it used to be. Thanks to the destruction of Chicago's 'Projects' and Section Eight Housing Vouchers, parts are turning 'Bluer', and a few Apartment Complexes throughout the county are to be avoided. But overall, DuPage is still basically free of Violent Crime, and where Criminal Laws are still enforced. When we hear a loud 'Bang!' outside at night we automatically think Fireworks, not Gun Fire.
Oh, and not to be overlooked, nice areas of Will County are not that far away either.

One option you should maybe consider is private hosting. Lots of mom and pop types that charge 5 or 10 bucks a month for a virtual server, and they'll usually throw in a domain registration for free. Some slightly more expensive options are located in places like Switzerland that take privacy seriously. I suggest that if you go this route, you pay extra to have an anonymous domain registration so somebody can't dox you by finding real contact info in a whois lookup.

**It's so true...I go into the suburbs and heard the same thing. My feeling is that the idiots we have here in the City are just brainwashed beyond help. We also have stupid cops on this job that will ticket hard working citizens just for numbers and people will hate us for that. Plus, you have these tyrant politicians that are making us the bad guys in all this pandemic, arrest, ticket, fine...people have lost jobs and yet the city wants us to fine people...well Stupid Groot, you had your chance to collect money but decided to play nice and forgive peoples ticket debts and other shit so now deal with it. Chicago should be dropped from Illinois.....why hold on to something that's holding you back.

Google, You Tube, FaceBook are all, knowingly, using different algorithms and they, themselves will do their own news feeds, etc., for a dumbed down public that gets their news from ABC NBC CBS The View, Kimmel, Colbert, Conan, Fallon, Stewart and the other "comedy" hosts.
The View is from the "ABC News" division (Wikipedia)--- and that ought to tell one how "fair" the press is!
We don't have to go to Russia. It came here!

I just wanted to say that I’m always constantly amazed at how once you get 20 minutes outside of Chicago, the completely different reaction people have to being law enforcement. It’s always, “thank you,” when they find out. And even after 20 years it’s still very surprising and kind to hear. There are many places where people don’t consider us to be the enemy, and people actually do appreciate what we do. I only wish we could be treated better in the city we live and work in, and by our elected officials...and honesty by each other. Because we should be treating each other a hell of a lot better than we do, considering how crappy things are. We’re strong only when we’re united, and weak when we’re splintered and divided along various lines.

I am a retired retired Catholic School teacher for 16 years and CPS for 23 years. I know many of you do not agree with CTU. I do not either. I never knew where my dues went. I got off social media during the 2016 election. I noticed the double standard on who/what was punished or censored if someone complained. Never mind all the thuggish, obscene stuff that goes out for all to see. I have no interest any longer in having what I buy on Amazon coming up in my feed or having my “year in review” compiled and set to music by FB. I have no interest in suggestions based on my demographic and searches of what I should be “buying.” I don’t miss it at all. I suggest to anyone interested, take a social media break & then consider making it permanent. It’s not as bad as you think. All the while Bezos, Zuckerberg are making $ off you, they get to shelter their $ in “foundations.” Where us suckers not rich can’t decide where our hard earned tax money is spent. The billionaire is shaping our world & how we live in it. Don’t be stupid and keep allowing it.
After this shutdown opens up a little more, I’m actually also thinking of deleting my amazon account. I’ve sincerely tried to limit my use of it in recent years. I found my amazon info available on a search site though I specifically have lists etc hidden. We give these billionaires too much power & control over our information. They make billions selling our info. In the world of entertainment & music etc, people are paid royalties. I honestly am trying to figure out how to get a bill up that only the individual should be able to profit or permit selling of their personal information. I proposed it to a rep. a year ago & obviously never heard back. As a civilian in Texas, I had no idea what crap you guys and gals put up with every day there. You do a selfless (and apparently thankless) job trying to protect people from themselves and others. I appreciate and respect every single one of you. if I'm ever in Chicago I'll thank you in person... it's the least I can do.
Every time I travel I realize that I live in an alternate universe, but since it is my lifelong home, I normally don't notice the insanity. I probably have PTSD from living in this place, and I'm not even a cop. Oh, well, at least I can pray at my church on Sunday. Oh, right. Well, maybe someday.
