Gee, Another Parolee?

Those offenders that tried to stick up an off-duty sergeant outside of 019 are no strangers to the system:
  • Two men and two juveniles are charged with trying to rob an off-duty Chicago police sergeant just steps from the 19th District police station in Lakeview. One of the accused adults, a long time menace in the Boystown area, is on parole for robbery and for stealing the wallet of a dying man at the Loyola Red Line station.

    [...]

In January 2018, [multiple convicted felon Derrick Robie] was charged with robbing a man at the Morse Red Line station. Even though Robie was charged with Class X felony armed robbery, Cook County Judge Stephanie Miller released him on his own recognizance with electronic monitoring.

A few days later, detectives arrested Robie after they determined that he stole a wallet from a man’s pants pocket while the victim lay dying at the Loyola Red Line station earlier in the month. The victim was alone when he fell down the station’s staircase, lost consciousness, and later died, police said at the time. CTA video captured images of Robie and another man rifling through the dying man’s pockets, stealing his wallet, and leaving him without summoning help.
Yet another success story by the Cook county criminal "justice" system. Pat O'Brien, are you cutting campaign commercials for this yet?

Maybe they figured letting this guy out wouldn't be a big deal, since he was sure to get arrested again...and again.

Which is even better that the off duty Sgt went chasing after them. He stayed in the fight, asked for backup, and they were arrested. Imagine if he didn't. Chances are they would have got away and robbed yet another innocent person. No weapon was displayed nor recovered but just think if this man would have shot this "innocent kid" this animals background wouldn't have mattered. This Sgt would be at call back while the Mayor and her allies would be chomping at the bit to make him an example and look for a way to charge him with murder. No gun = indictment. Plain and simple. Pics of this shitbirds 3rd grade graduation plus momma saying her boy would never harm a soul would be all over social media. God I hate this County. Great job once again Sgt using your head and saving our dept as a whole from a huge black eye especially after that other Sgt just got away with attempted murder. You also saved yourself heartache and long term litigation. Get out while you can people this city is a sinking ship. This Sgt is a hero but will be forgotten about while the other Sgt will move up the ranks and run the dept one day. This city runs on politics.

Too bad the cop didn't fill the bunch full of lead! It would have been poetic justice and certainly would have saved tax money and lives! But in todays twisted people and folks world the police officer would be dragged through the mud when a thieving POS like this gets what they deserve! Black lives matter just why??? So they can live to create murder, mayhem and chaos, over and over again! Thanks to our groundhog day States ASSTORNEY Kimmie from da hood!

I can't help thinking Parole Administrators played a part in this debacle. They are all political appointees. The Director of parole always
matches the party of the governor. I started in 1976.

Those four offenders need to attend a restorative justice peace circle to turn around their lives before it is too late.

These dogs, they steal a gravely injured mans belongings and don't even bother to call for an ambulance. Gee, I wonder why no one wants to live here any longer? You can't even be sick or injured around these predators. They have no pity for anyone and whine continuously that the public has no sympathy for them. Shit like this is why. Of course democrats have excuses for them.

Bad people do bad things.
And when given the opportunity, they do additional bad things.

Why is that so hard for eggheads and policy makers to understand?
It’s awfully easy to come up with abstract theories when you live in the suburbs.

why even have courts. save a lot of money. just close them all down. the police will just carry a variety of greeting cards to hand out to victims. like condolences, atta boys, better luck next time, get well soon, and some gold stars for the best aim. all cards will be redeemable at target for ammo and range time. its over. criminal justice is just another obsolete govt program.

Yeah and if this pillar of the community would have been shot or killed with no weapon recovered guess who would be getting charged so quick without missing a beat. Que in jeopardy music. Community looking to persecute this sgt. Call back next couple of years along with years of name being dragged in papers and across America. Could see it now, "Unarmed man shot to death by off duty officer" Yet the city won't back us. I once again applaud this man who chased this type of filth along with 4 other animals by himself. He might have just saved some other victims that night and this weekend. Never know could have been my wife, mother, or 18 year old son. Thank you boss. Blog thank you again for keeping us updated with facts and not fake news.

Good question. Where is Republican Cook County State's Attorney Candidate Pat O'Brien? 😑👮🕵️

Where are these GOP Chairpeople to assist O'Brien:

Illinois GOP - Tim Schneider
(a former Cook County Commissioner),

Cook County GOP - Sean Morrison
(a current Cook County Commissioner & Palos Township Committeeperson),

Chicago Northwest Side GOP
(Wards 38, 39, 41 & 45) -
Matt Podgorski and

Chicago GOP - Steve Boulton
(Is he representing Jason Gonzalez in the Mike Madigan sham candidate case?)

😑

My "Corrections Professor" teaches college students that we should give prisoners an education while they are behind bars. He believed that if they left prison with a college degree, they wouldn't steal your TV when they got out.
Instead of young men and women serving in the military for the GI bill, they could just kill someone and get a four-year degree, then be out around the time they graduate. Heck, a "go-getter" could notch up a few murders and score a Masters or even a Doctorate. Street cred and a degree, bet!

I hope the citizens of Chicago realize that, with violent criminals increasingly being released without bail (and often without charges), that THEY are responsible for their own safety. The police can no longer protect them, because we cannot prevent crime - the ability to proactively police the city has been taken out of our hands. And now that we can’t even keep violent criminals off the street by arresting them, we are really just decorative.

Completing the destruction of civil society, the current leadership (such as it is) of Chicago plans to use (abuse?) the police to enforce unconstitutional and arbitrary infringements of basic civil rights. We can’t bother drug dealers, but we’re required to shut down churches.

$4000 of Larri StayAtHome ANOV’s, the City must be rolling in cash by now or they waiting for the fifth violent predator to turn up before collecting those fines?

Stole the coins from a dead mans eyes.
Victim “fell” down a flight of steel CTA stairs. Yeah right.
And the assholes at CookCo give Robie on multiple justice involved occasions Affordable Bonds to commit more violent crimes.
Even the ASA’s must fall in line too and offer plea downs, even for murder.
The victim didn’t survive, so you ain’t got nuffins - expect maybe a some unlawful arrest allegation settlement.

Where is Pat Obrien, Republican candidate for Cook County States Attorney and has anyone seen him lately?
Or was his task as I’m a Republican Now spoiler completed?

He probably just wanted to notify the victim's family first, as any conscientious citizen would do...

You think this mutts background would ever make television? Not at all. Front headlines would be this savages kid pic with momma yelling she wants justice for her son who was unarmed and killed by the racist pooooolice. Here comes Jessie Jackson around the bend. Well we know the news steals from the blog so hopefully they can read these comments. Great job again boss which I rarely call anyone above me. You did the CPD proud and showed courage being 99. You also showed that we aren't always buffoons like some of the so called leaders on the blog from just this week.

I’m telling you, VICTIMS NEED TO START SUING THE PAROLE BOARD,

Sue the parole board members as a government entity, the state of Illinois and the individual parole officer and then the 🤡🤡 that make up the Appointed parole board... this idea was floated in 2010 after everyone of our police officers killed in 2010 were at the hands of a parolee or probationer. Unfortunately one CPD family was talked out of it by the connected machine attorney they chose...

There’s no cure until we see monthly triple digit homicides. That’s the only way it’s going to get cleaned up. Throw the narcan in the trash and let nature take its course. You’re gonna get a few innocent casualties, but try to minimize.

A future mayor will have to put the word out that if any innocent folks or cops get hurt or killed, it’ll be an all out war on the scumbags. Cook county will need even more cold storage for the stiffs.

do you not know that , judges, attorneys, parole boards, all have real imdenity, they can't be sued unless they did something unusually way out of line with malice? On the other hand police used to have it, this imdenity, but lawyers wanted to make other lawyers money so police lawsuits started in 83, and lawyers protect each other from being sued, so that will never happen. These people legally can't be sued, or held accountable.
The only people sued are blue shirts with an occasional sgt, no one above that has ever been held liable in the legal system. yet our bosses ask a lot of us. the whole system looks at you as a " dumb blue shirt"
