- Speaking of 3-year wonders, any word on the copper from 006 who was arrested on Thursday in Englewood for discharging his weapon while in front of his house, causing the shot spotter to go off. I’m hearing he was arrested and charged with failure to identify himself as an officer, Agg discharge, battery to the four officers who were arresting him, and assault for saying he was “going to kick their ass”.
Hearing Tina Skahill directed the arrest. He must be some connected idiot since I’m hearing he shouldn’t have been on the job to begin with after his background check was flagged, but he still managed to get through. Who was in charge of the unit doing background checks at the time he can on your ask? Well none other than merit LT. Petit and Chief West.
Well golly. Looks like Brownie has his first scandal to handle. Granted, the building blocks were laid long before he arrived, but the guy/gal in the Big Chair is responsible from this point forward. Supposedly, this dumbass is shortlisted on the CFD hiring list, too.

In 10 years time, I don’t want to be in this city to experience any police interaction. My prediction: it will be the most corrupt and inept department this city has ever had and to nobody’s surprise because of the lowered hiring standards to force clout heavy people to be hired and to achieve “ diversity.” Frankly, I’ve also never witnessed this many people with 3-5 years on vying for inside spots.

The way Department brass gets around "assigning" officers to their specialized units to fill budgeted spots within the police budget is to "detail" them in.
By using the "detail," they get around the NOJO process. This is well-known at the top.
By the way, how many of the sergeants newly assigned/detailed to the Detective areas were actually detectives before they made sergeant? Yes there are some who were, but there are some who were not, and some sergeants who were previously detectives were passed over. How many of those sergeants new to the detectives Areas even have more than a year in grade?
That PERF report sure was good reading.
The NOJO process is really just an extra hoop for the clouted to jump through before the phone call goes through. Do you really think the tact lieutenant and commander actually read the applications for their tact teams when they put out a NOJO to the whole department for their unit's tact team? They already know who they are picking for tact before the ink is dry on that NOJO.

If the academy would dismiss some of the screwup early on, or listed to some of the FTOs when they indicate a problem, that would help.
LAPD washes out around a quarter of the people who enter the academy. Here? Almost nobody. And when they give the numbers who fail to graduate from the academy, they include the people who quit.
This idiot was pushed through by none other then Bard West the new 2nd 1st Deputy. He should have never been on the job, but again West went through a shit load of flagged files and decided these people should be hired. Failure at the highest level of this department!!!

If you worked the beat car then you’d know being stripped and sent to vacaland(callback) is a blessing these days. No late jobs, zero liability, no need to take ANY police action outside of work, ever. FREE PAY CHECK! At the end she’ll be cleared and sent back to push a beat car again. For example, look at the 2 morons that were involved in the CTA station shooting. What was that female officer thinking shooting blindly up the CTA escalator at a fleeing unarmed assailant? She's lucky she didn't kill him or an innocent civilian. And let us not forget about that Southside liberal cop who was found with an empty duty weapon by her FTO while on duty. Her response was "I didn't come on this job to shoot nobody." Instead of being fired, she was placed in CAPS. And now we have this shitbird thug on the job who I guarantee will be a merit promotion. Don't believe it will happen? Remember that female cop who legally changed her name to the cop killer? She was promoted to sgt. UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE.

I met him 7 years ago on a job he had a house party on my beat and he was causing a disdisturbance and come to find out he was a p.o in 006. Later on I ran into this clown at a side job and he was trying to bring his gun in the venue and I told him he couldn't and he tried to square up and fight! I also saw this sad excuse for a human being at the recent sgt. Test...God I Hope's he doesn't make it...what a show that would be!

Shitthead officer was released without charging because the officers refused to sign complaints against him. I'm pretty sure they will be held accountable for their inaction and possibly terminated.
RWOC was the incorrect move here. This isn’t a simple arrest mistake while acting in good faith. Involuntary transport to a police facility constitutes an ARREST, which requires Probable Cause. If there’s no victim or complainant there’s no crime, therefore an arrest should have not been made. Subject should have never been let out without charging. Arresting officers will now need to explain as to why they felt it was absolutely necessary to deprive the subject of his freedoms without any intention of charging him with a crime. The LT will deny any involvement. Jackpot for JC(or whatever his name is). In the end City will pay out 30-75K for the unlawful arrest. Punitive damages usually come at around 5-15K, just be ready because the police hating jury will hang you. This is no game.

Let’s not forget the Jagoff Lt. in 007 who thought he was going to handle it the old school way and not even charge the asshole with battery to a PO. And he convinced the young coppers in 007 not to press charges against the asshole. Nobody better try to sell tickets for the LTs benefit party. Screw that asshole.

Jet if we got rid of the problem officers we would be at half strength. Between Merit, Clout, Lowered Standards and HR mistakes what is a person supposed to do? Time to invoke plan B before the next wave of tax and fee hikes. Gonna take my 10years and look for a Red State lateral transfer. Gonna try to get out while the getting is good.

The Red State big cities are just like Chicago. Plenty of Depts. hiring in rural Indiana problem is top pay is only like $50,000.
How the hell does the 2nd district get stuck with all the miss fits?. They have a po that claims to be allergic to the police uniform therefore can not work the streets and nothing is done about it. PPO M. who stole another officer’s inventory (fake 100 dollar bill), lied about it and eventually was found in her work bag which was removed from Squad.....Sill on the job!( Alder woman got her the job ), A wife coming up to the parking lot and beating up on her Sgt husband, (he just got demoted yesterday from a higher position). A Captain who drove his unmarked car to the casino numerous times. Now this clown JC. So we see from these few examples, a liar, thief and cheat. Every district has them, it just blows my mind how nothing ever gets addressed. The punishment should be fair across the board, everyone getting the same results when involved in criminal and stupid behavior. CPD needs an overhaul when it comes to firing problem PPOs lets start with that!!

Why hasn’t this been on our local news 24/7 . Off duty political connected black police officer fires gun off duty , arrested for attacking on duty police and not one second of news coverage . LL has fake news in her pocket . What about Texas Brown ? No news or press releases that this officer will be fired ?

PO never fired his weapon. PO actually did identify and arresting officers continued to fight him. You all do know there were 5 officers onscene and only 4 officers and the LT were stripped. Why because the one officer never approached because he heard the off duty identify. Something don’t sound right with the story because it was made up to cover the city.

The off duty never fired his weapon. There was a spot shotter alert but it was 4 blocks west of the off duty officers residence. Do we really think the off duty would have stayed onscene and he worked the 02 car in his district??? He knows EXACTLY how the shot spotter works. No one is making sense here. Everyone wants to make the off duty the problem. The real problem is the aggressive off duty officers. The question is now why even take him in? Also name drop. Who is the exempt cousin that the off duty has? Connect the dots for me.
