This took place within spitting distance of 3-4 police cars with lights activated. This is what you get when shitheads do not respect the law, or law enforcement and do not fear any consequences coming from the Just-Us system.

There were 001sf District cars, 018th District cars, Sat. Teams and Tact. Cars all in the immediate area breaking up that party on Wacker. Hundreds drinking, smoking, double parked, tying up the streets. The pedicabs were loaded with the people drinking standing up shaking their asses as they smoked the night away. You can’t see them in the video angle but trust me they were there. The Police are not a
deterrent. As they told us to go fuck ourselves all night. They have been given a pass by our Cook County Public Defender Kim Foxx. The mayor continues to clear the way for criminals, bashing any type of Law Enforcement by CPD. COPA is probably finding hard to deal with her throwing so many Officers under the COPA bus. Everyone can see how fast Chicago is crumbling. I would start locking offenders up all night if I knew they would be prosecuted, at least fined or time served. Police need protection against lawsuits. I like sheltering and feeding my family.

Was in a cab traveling from Banks to Erie down Michigan Avenue yesterday. The streets were empty, stores boarded up everywhere and almost no foot traffic. Why would anyone invest in reopening when the city is done. Covid 19 is not the reason for boarded, looted stores. It’s criminals.
Time to pull the extra police from the south and west side. Stop treating these thugs at local hospitals. Why patch up these criminals so that they can go back to shoot again. A waste of resources.

Can you imagine if you spent a few hundred thousand dollars on a small condo down there or god forbidden a million for a place over at Trump Tower or one of the new high rises along the river? And you couldn't even feel safe going down to the lobby to pay for a late night pizza delivery because it has become Madd Maxx outside? Wife and I lived downtown in River North in the mid 2000s until moving to the burbs when the kids were on the way. I remember we used to go out to eat and walk back to our loft late at night, never feeling unsafe. Before getting married, I remember going out for drinks with the guys and walking back to my place on Kinzie and never feeling in danger. Remember when they were filming the Batman movie downtown around 2003? Some buddies and I would walk over there at 2am and hang out in the Loop and watch the shoot, never feeling unsafe. It was like you were in this beautiful movie set in real-life. There may have been a few panhandlers hanging out, but it was safe. Flash forward 15 years, and I know you get a different mindset when you become a parent, but I wouldn't be caught dead down there after 10pm. I would sure as hell not want to live in River North or the Loop anymore. Just awful. Drove through the Loop this morning, down Dearborn and Clark, still tons of shit boarded up and out of business. Unreal.

I was on a call today with a group that plans and manages Trade Shows. This group is making plans to pull the major Trade Shows out of McCormick Place for the first half of 2021. Their members do not want to come to Chicago because of the crime.
Vegas and Orlando are actively going after the Chicago Trade shows to change locations.
Pro Mat - The massive show that covers most of McCormick Place is scheduled for April 12-15, 2021. If they could pull out, they would move that show to Vegas in a flash.
Lighthead will make McCormick Place an abandoned building before her term is over.

You know, when your child achieves success academically it usually makes a parent proud. I our case especially so because after the 6th grade we started homeschooling her because of the state of CPS and the fact parochial schools wernt much better. Fast forward to now: my daughter achieved honors status and received an almost full scholastic and artistic scholarship to college. That in itself is a blessing from God. However, I find myself dreading the approaching date of the end of August for her to start school. Its partly because my baby girl is going off to college. But I find myself terrified at the same time. Why you ask? She got a scholarship to Columbia College in downtown Chiraq. No shit. We moved to Indiana to get away from the bullshit and NOW, shes starting school there. I cant talk her out of it and I cant afford to foot the bill. Talk about a Trust God moment regarding your only child.

Wow....I guess a lot has changed over the years. it used to be that officers who transferred to 001 or 018 did so in order for them to transition from being the 'real police' to the sleep police, especially on the midnites. Now, in order for districts 001 and 018 to deal with the influx of crime in their areas, they need for POs who want to be the REAL POLICE to transfer in!
Because a whole lot of 'real policing' isn't really being done overnight in the downtown and near north areas...just a bunch of armed secretaries, it would seem.

This city is literally light years away from when that movie was filmed in 1986. I moved here in 1981 when Chi was still a world-class town. Used to stay out till all hours in the Loop and Rush Street areas and never had a bad incident happen. I was in my mid-20's and had the time of my life. That era is long gone. The SJW/BLM commies and Snowflakes have destroyed what it took 1 1/2 centuries to build.
