Three Days?
- A 58-year-old man was found dead Thursday morning in Grant Park with stab wounds to the neck and back, after a woman called police when she saw him on the ground in the same spot for a third day in a row, according to police.
About 9 a.m. Thursday, Chicago police responded to a call of a man found unresponsive in the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue, near the south end of Grant Park. The man was pronounced dead on the scene about 9:30 a.m., according to officials. Chicago police have since reclassified the death as a homicide.
Following an autopsy Friday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office determined the man, who identity was still not being released, died from multiple sharp force injuries in a homicide.
A woman told police she had seen the man in the same spot Tuesday and Wednesday, before deciding to call police Thursday morning.
And it's been warm for the last few weeks.

Most of the homeless pick their spot and sleep there on a daily basis. A lot of them have quite the odor so a bad smell may not surprise a lot of people. Sad way to go, crazy homeless guy or not, his life should matter to someone. If she seen him, so should’ve the hundreds of others who passed by over that time period. I guess everyone was distracted by all the constant police bashing protesters and didn’t want to be seen talking to a cop in the park. The only thanks we get now is in whispers as they hurry away from us. That whole area stinks or urine and dog poop.

As a resident of south Michigan Avenue, I wasn’t surprised to see about the dead man in Grant Park. The alderman Sophia King has been totally unresponsive to the large number of aggressive beggars in the community for a long time. I am awaken daily by screaming beggars in front of my building. King has also been unresponsive as has the 1st district command staff (Pigott and Alderen) to the constant drug dealing, public drinking, gang banging and drug use in the skate park in the south end of grant park. . Pigott, Alderen and O’Shea , three clouted merit hacks are too busy sucking up to King and they play nice with the criminals at her direction. Repeated emails to Michael Kelly, the superintendent of the park district have gone unanswered. Many thugs come off the redline to use the skate park, harassing elderly people in the community, stealing and acting like fools. A once good neighborhood is being destroyed by King’s restorative justice program. She also has refused as has Kelly to requests to clean the graffiti on the columbus statue in Grant Park. Welcome to a new ghetto in the south loop thanks to the refusal of the administration and racist cop hating Lori to their jobs. Shoot will be next.

It's now considered acceptable for people to sleep in park, to defecate on sidewalk, to walk around half-dressed. Dude here gets it--us civilians have to deal with urban decay and the predatory political bullshit driving it too. You guys are fucking mean. I just thought I happened to see him at the same point in his sleep routine 2 days in a row. On the third day, there was a pigeon sitting on his head and I could see where other birds had shat on him, pretty much like the elephant carcasses you see on PBS. That is when I decided to call 9-11.
While waiting for the police to arrive, another speed-walker accused me of calling only because the man in tbe supine position was black. I replied that he might be black, but he is surely fucking dead! He asked me if I tried to rouse him? I told him a stark naked 25 year-old centerfold could not rouse him! He is absolutely fucking D-E-A-D! So much for me being a good citizen. Fuck you guys! F.U.L.L.
Someone needs to see if the victim was honeless or another productive citizen whose passing will be hidden by the media.
I go to throw out the garbage on Wednesday. I open the lid and there is this small raccoon in the can. I knock it over so the little critter can mosey along and as soon as his feet hit the ground he doubles back and tries to kill me. I ran and grabbed a broom and held him off till I could climb onto my truck and after a while he just leaves. I tell my story to my wife and she says "Oh, he was in there on Monday too!" She thought he was coming and going but the fucking thing was in there for 3 days! Couldn't get out.

I see the same thing you do every day and night. Bodies stinking to high heaven, mentally disturbed and dangerous. Walk around them and don’t engage. Anything they do will probably get them a ride for a mental eval and nothing else.
