- For a second consecutive night, police in St. Cloud used chemical irritants to disperse crowds that gathered in response to a Monday incident in which St. Cloud Police Department says an officer was shot in the hand during a struggle with an 18-year-old suspect.
[...] It was the second night of unrest in the Granite City following an incident involving St. Cloud officers and an 18-year-old suspect just after midnight Monday. Police said the teenager resisted arrested and shot one of the arresting officers in the hand.
Police did not return fire.
The suspect, who suffered minor injuries, and injured officer were taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. Charges have not yet been formally filed against the teen.
St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said lies on social media spread misinformation that police had fatally shot a teenager early Monday, which sparked the angry reaction from the public.

The assailant opened fire, the cop charged him without a gun being drawn, as other officers ended the threat.
That didn't stop the narrative and riots though, even with the mayor praising the Officers and his Department.

St. Cloud is not a very nice city; like Minneapolis, it imported a bunch of welfare pilgrims in the 2000s and 2010s and is now reaping the whirlwind. The one city outside MSP metro that had store closings and whatnot during the Floyd riot, because everyone knew what was coming.

Heat's been up and coming back in the next week with the humidity. The dog days of August will be upon us and I'm betting that some type of an arrest incident will occur that will lead to several nights of civil unrest. So start planning ahead.
In the 1980s and 1990s politicians decided to implement "stop and frisk" and "broken windows" policing. Both policies sought to be proactive and tough on crime. But as we have since learned, it's a small percent of the individuals responsible for most violent crime. These policies targeted a much larger segment of the population and thus punished people who were not inclined to be violent. This has created a large amount of resentment against the police by poor and minority communities. They are so angry they would see the system burn.
Analogously, there are only a handful of bad/violent cops. Yet BLM and the "defund the police" groups seek to punish the police as a whole. So a larger group is being targeted and subsequently punished for the sins of a few. This has created a lot of anger and resentment among those who are being unfairly punished.
There is a common thread here: when we punish everyone for the sins of a few, anger and resentment build. Removing cancer requires a scapula not a machete. These overly broad policies are counterproductive. This is true of the population at large and also the ranks of the police force. Ironically the police and BLM are both victims of the same mechanism. And it's the politicians who are profiting.
That shouldn't surprise us. Politicians are, generally, scumbags. They instituted the policies that have made the police unpopular, and now they blame the police for the unrest. In turn the police are now angry and resentful of the populace. A couple of politicians will get burned, but the smart ones feed on the unrest and pit us against one another to their profit. They are the real enemy of us all.

If the truth is told often enough maybe the public will know the truth as our media is telling falsehoods and misleading the citizens. Tell everyone you see and know that State's Attorneys, mayors and other public officials are owned by George Soros and this is to not enforce laws to create mayhem. Cities like Chicago will be places that the middle class will move out of and take their wealth somewhere else. One out two houses and pretty soon it will be three out four sold in Illinois is by someone moving out of state.
