Unit 715
So some order came out (we aren't posting it - 7 pages) creating this new Critical Response Unit 715 out of assorted Gang Teams and Saturation Teams and the Bikes.
As of 1700 hours yesterday, nearly 30 Officers had dropped To-Froms requesting cancellation of the detail. More are expected.
That's a pretty hefty vote of "no confidence" in the so-called leadership we are saddled with right now.
Prepare for reverse seniority being used to fill the gaps.

Look at the history of this type of Unit, they will disband it and send everyone south or west. Never give up your bid District, you can always go back when you are detailed. I bet at the end of the summer this will a assigned unit.
They are back filling 715 and 716 by reverse seniority already. They took 6 PO's in my district by reverse seniority and put them on the 4th watch. You can only be on the 4th or 5th watch by request, you give up FOP contract rights by being placed on the 4th or 5th watch. The FOP has been notified and I hope they are going to address it.
Yeah... no thanks on that god forsaken unit. They told us to expect long hours lots of ot rdo’s cancelled and fluctuating 4th watch schedule. Can’t think of one reason to stay! Was unfortunately forced to be in this unit one day not for me and I’m pretty sure everyone absorbed into this unit feels the same way. Why would anyone want to be on a protest /riot team? Lmao

Follow the lead of our Buffalo Police brethren and resign your specialized position in mass to display unity and solidarity.
After the mass resignation of this position have the FOP President go public on who exactly is assigned to or forced to be in this Unit against their will and the contract.

Again, there’s no solidarity within our ranks. We have a mayor that hates us and has Brown disband a bunch of units. And now there are there are PO’s, Sgt’s and Lt’s from those disbanded units that would rather work in some bullshit unit instead of returning to a district. I knew there would be some dumb asses that volunteered but I expected them be younger guys looking to get out of a district. There are some people on that list who have a lot of time on the job that are apparently dumber than I thought.
The bikes are to expensive to maintain. They are switching over to skateboards and pogo sticks.
Unit 715? The old Public Housing South Unit number. The old Unit 715 had it’s share of scandals, can the new Unit 715 be doomed from the start? I’m not superstitious, I’m just saying.

Those guys and or girls who left have my family's respect for doing what they did. The change wasn't an easy decision especially if they're switching schedule. Good for you officers! Let them go by reverse seniority let them order you. But don't volunteer for anything. Give them nothing.
The funny thing about this protest unit is that ALL of the reverse seniority officers taken from our district have never been in a fight on or off the job and are just here for the $72,000. The grievances for the 4th watch assignment, the medical usage for people who don't want to e there, coupled with the cheating commander as a leader all spell fun for all involved.

Time honored tradition, let me explain...
Not sure when, but around 1998-2000 or so[?] the Dept made every District a Training District. I believe FTO’s were allowed to Bid in to previously blocked out districts. So short that almost half the watch was an acting FTO like it or not.
Hiring was steady, and in 2002-03 they decided on adding an FTO class of maybe 75 to 100 candidates (?).
Just before the Academy FTO in-service training was completed, they eliminated FTO’s from working in all Districts and went back to the previous select few training districts. Of course by contract, Bids came and went, new FTO recruits got the leftovers.
By the end of the week before graduation, more than half of the FTO candidates resigned from the program and returned to their prior assigned Districts and watch. Some old timer FTO’s even gave up D2 rather than going to have to Bid for a new District of assignment, Watch,DOG,Furlo’s in shitsville.
This was just another example of how the Merit Command Dept runs things.

I was injured due to the actions of protestors during the first week of the Floyd protests, but plan on extending IOD for almost the entire year. I want to make sure im 100% healed mentally and physically. F this city. Then when I return, I’ll take back to back furloughs (which i’ll bid for during the months before I return) and extend it through July 4th. Perfect plan!
This will surely compromise everyone’s career and sanity. Not worth the pain. These Draftees will be lead by shitty leadership that will be at the behest of F.U.L.L.
Draftees, do not be disillusioned by this new toy. It will tarnish quickly, once you realize that nothing is free. You will pay in labor and numbers. Put a To/From in, PAR Form to a Dist when Bids come out. It's not hard to leave!

Especially when you have a ONE year 40 ur old recruit from 12 becoming time keeper of the unit. Tried sending her to midnights like everyone else with no time, nope can’t have that. Was on the transfer list to 11, no no no God forbid. Force people to work with her on days because she couldn’t work alone. Force people to still work with her because no one can stand her know it all self. Boy she must be some great cop. Nah, she just happens to be bumping some recently demoted Deputy. Hopefully Shemash won’t be a doormat like Chung was.
