3 betrooms, 1 bath, 1350 s.f. my ass. Did an aerial 3-D view look around and that’s a 3 level rehab house. (Streetview Maps shows 3 marked vehicles, 1 black unmarked.)
Zillow says a Reassessment was done 2018 and valued on $500k, I’m not realtor but the Zillow algorithm isn’t either, lived in my house since 2000 far nw side and the only thing that steadily rose was the tax bill. Zillow valued the property about $15,000 more than I paid for it...a 3 bd 1 ba 1200sf single story. Larri is gettin’ a sweet deal if her tax bill is $9200 yr.
I think it takes 4 years for the CC Assessor to catch-up or is this one of those arrangements where the homeowner plays dumb...like Louis Gutierrez did when he, and I believe his daughter also done and cheated the tax assessments for years and years? Larri has a little work going on the homestead, the CC Description still lists it as a story and a half, no central air, no fireplace, in that multi level 1300 little square feet.
Like I’m no realtor. I’m also not versed whatsoever in real estate tax law, but I wonder if the CC Assessor has a snitch box linked to their website or if there’s an Assessment Inquiry or Field Inquiry that can be done. Seems similar properties in house and lot sizes on that block are a valued higher.

Sales are sky-high in the close by suburbs and exurbs. Condos are going begging, the closer you get to downtown. People are bailing out of downtown in droves. (See today's Crains Chicago Business) Many in the neighborhoods are mulling selling the homes they thought were their forever homes, over family safety issues.

What a coincidence...it looks like the tax assessment was increased signficantly to a more reasonable valuation around the same time the mayoral job was in sight.

Everybody was reassessed and property taxes went nuts. Mine DOUBLED. Paying a thousand dollars a month in taxes thrills me to no end every time the protesters march on through and the 'socialist' alderman proposes another program.
My neighbor, who bought her house for around two hundred thousand twenty-plus years ago, just sold for over nine hundred thousand. That's going to hurt us all on assessed value, because it single-handedly raised the average sales price around here.
A couple of years ago, Logan Square was the most searched zip code in the entire country, so, it's pretty likely Lori got reassessed and whomped just like the rest of us in the area. (Looking at the aerial photos of her house, though, I'm thinking the assessor is off by at least 1500 sq feet. TWO additions? Nice.)
