Don't Look too Hard Detectives
- A man with a shotgun tried to rob a South Side gas station, using a woman as a shield, but was shot dead by another man who then ran off Thursday night, according to Chicago police.
Tyrone Smith, 55, walked into the Citgo Food Mart in the 6700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. Holding a shotgun, he screamed, “Give me the money” several times and grabbed a woman in front of him, police said.
A man standing near the door pulled his own gun and shot Smith at least three times and then fled, police said.
It fell outside the parameters we set for the weekend, but it's still good to see armed robbers get lit up.

Had that been a Chicago Police Officer doing the shooting, it would have been que the BLM protests, ACLU whining, Antifa criminals rioting and looting, Black reparations, Reverends, COPA and any other stupidity, etc.

I say just suspend this case and move on to real victims!

We tried to find the shooter for two shifts after the shooting. We went to his home, we checked hospitals and other police departments but couldn’t find him. Shrug.
This needs to be an unsolved homicide.

He went that-a-way. R/D canvassed area in the direction of that-a-way. Reloadable brass collected for recycling due to manufacturing supply shortages. Case Suspended pending further investigative leads.
It was the best thing that could to happen to mr. Smith, his repeat restorative justice participation due to repeat affordable bonds was going nowhere and clogging the already swamped circuit.

That's the way to do it. Stand up and bug out. Me and my buddy clobbered a purse snatcher that struck on Michigan Ave across from the Hancock. Fucker was 6'4" and ran like the wind. We only caught him because he tried to hide on Wabash behind a Brick wall staircase. I'll admit to double pounding him but he was bigger, way bigger. Wagon rolled up, approached and we just walked away. Please, no fanfare, just doing our part. Please, no names. Years later I see some goof from the Gas Company claiming fame and glory on the 6 O'Clock News. I'll bet him and the Gas Company are still in court fighting a civil assault lawsuit. When people figure out that this mask thing works both ways, I think you'll see a shift in behavior.
