So much for supporting local businesses:
- Drove out to the south suburbs Saturday evening for dinner at Benny's Steak House in Mokena and as we were walking in the front door Larry and her wife get out of one of the 3 black suvs parked at the door and run in. It’s obvious she doesn’t care about the fate of the Chicago restaurants that she’s shut down. Chowed down for 2 hours, worked the room a bit and took off.
So she destroys Chicago's vibrant restaurant community, then (probably) gets comped out in Mokena? She's as tone-deaf as Fatass splitting time at his numerous houses and shipping his daughter and a horse to out-o-state competitions.
And when did the detail get a third truck? We thought it was always two.

The area has seen an influx of daytime carjackings robberies of gas stations assaults and home invasions hardly any of it makes the news because it doesn’t fit the narrative and is kept on the qt was a nice area to raise a family until the mutts came knocking tons of nice homes on the market for a song people in this area have had enough including myself

I know someone who works at a popular local suburb steakhouse and they told workers that customers can no longer smoke on the patio because it’s not fair to the city of Chicago restaurants that suburbs can smoke on patios and they can’t. I’m not sure who told the owners they have to abide by this ridiculous rule just to keep people from leaving the city to spend their money.

It will be a long time, if ever, before I head downtown for an evening meal or theater. Just too dangerous for anyone with the gangbangers roaming at will, and with all of the anti-white hate coming from BLM and the elites , too dangerous for white people. Sad, to see this all go away, but it has thanks to the inaction of the social justice warriors.

No no no. Like the USSS, the CPD detail under Lightfoot now has an advance, lead, main car and follow. Four actually, because you never see the advance car that's always at the site at least 1 hour prior to arrival.

That said, I really dont feel I’m in America til I hit Effingham on I-57.
Mr. Benny's is one of my favorite old fashioned steak joints. Sinatra and Dean Martin is always in the background. A bartender that recognizes you, even if you haven;t been in for a while, and has your favorite drink in place before you can hang up your coat.
Mr Benny passed on two years ago and the family is running it now. Still great food but I miss the old fart.
He used to sit at the table with us for a half hour at a time telling stories and buying a round. They still make the best martini in the South Suburbs.
My cleaning lady was there with her husband when the "Groot Crew" arrived. They were still waiting for a table when Groot/Mr. & or Mrs. Groot was whisked to a remote table.
Mr. Benny was always a big supporter of Concealed Carry. If it was a normal evening, I'm betting there were plenty of other diners that were strapped, including a few of the staff.
Damn sad that this troll won't stay in the city to enjoy the fruits of her labor.

Now we have to wonder why suddenly Larri LightFührer eased the bar and restaurant limit restrictions (before the next and final,lockdown).
Heard her yesterday avoiding the weekends mass shootings and vicious murders again, but mentions “burr’er’rees” (yes, she can’t pronounce brewery) and bars can stay open longer, just don’t grab a stool and belly up.

Wait and management staff were overheard telling her detail to bring her back again soon. She sat at a corner table by a window and did the fist and elbow pump with other diners on the way out. Had to excuse myself for a quick smoke outside when she made her way over to my table. Waitresses told us that the other female at Larry’s table was a state representative from the area who frequently holds business meetings there & the word “casino” was heard numerous times.
