Still kids should be thinking on their own by the time they reach college. Have their own opinions and not just regurgitate what the prof says. Too many kids are followers and who do they follow, their trashy new college friends and their trashy celebrity, music and sports idols. So some of the blame actually rests on the young adults themselves don't you think? But I agree the public school system needs a drastic change from K-5 through college.
On this weekend's report over on HJ, there is listed a double death in a Chinatown hotel. Neither one is listed as a murder. If it was a suicide/murder as has been suggested, I know that they don't count suicides, but unless there is video of two suicides, one should be counted. Numbers matter too!

I explain to him really simply (and slowly so he can comprehend) that the act that leads to the death (the shooting) has increased but the end result (the death) may not have and there are many reasons for this (poorly placed shots into the body, immediate medical attention, etc.). AND police overwhelming aren't out shooting minorities.

I live in Canada and I came across your blog through a suggestion from a friend who lives there in the Windy City. I am a big Hawks fan and I find it terribly upsetting what BLM did to the Blackhawks statue. The Blackhawks are a hockey team that has a generation of fans who will be voting for Trump now. A very childish act by BLM. The statue thing was so yesterday and it happened on Columbus Day bringing back all those terrible images of police getting attacked trying to protect a beautiful piece of art.
Blackhawks have a great history and destroying their symbols does nothing but expose the mental illness of the angry mob and the goals of BLM. BLM are just rioter morons at this point. They think destroying things will fix the past but it won't. Maybe their REBELLIOUS hearts and hate filled minds are doing them in?
