But, Catanzara added, he filed a complaint against Johnson from the Dan Ryan march to “hold him accountable for what I thought was a violation of state law and I was punished for it. And I’m still being punished for it two years later. You can’t have it both ways.”

Except you have it wrong because you don’t have a clue about what really happened. In this case, the white shirts covered and took care of the blue shirts at the district level trying to jot get the blue shirts in a jam. The result was the blue shirts getting far less time. The sgt on scene took 14 days, the watch commander 21 and commander 28. So, due to your own statement maybe you know why white shirts may now hesitate to take care of blue shirts anymore and the ungreatful attitude blue shirts like yourself have About it. Military buddy of mine got together in August and he 2 years retired from the New York office. He said the Biden's were rather sloppy with the ways they handled their money and he said a civilian with a little computer know how and time could probably trace the trail of money that Biden was getting. Unethical but still legal for the most part.
He said agents always hated working Biden's detail because he was unpredictable and would change his schedule at the last minute canceling out time home with the family. Don't know if this has any connection to the current story or not but it does fit the time frame. If I speak with him again I will try to verify the story and pass it along to my brothers in arms.

If he wins, which I believe he will, the word on the street is that Trump is going to get assets from a several agencies to form a "Law and Order" (not the word but something like that) commission that is going to assist local law enforcement and you will be seeing more education, training, and resources bypassing Mayor Lightfoot and Pritzker. A new cabinet position, a Law and Order Czar, is on the docket with funds earmarked for this role and expect a big name (someone like General Flynn) to head it. Trump is very good at streamlining federal funding and by bypassing regulations and stepping on some toes and bruising some egos he gets things done.
Have faith, be safe, don't give up on this profession, it is you're calling in life. Good things are coming.

Reminds me of a so-called "town hall" I attended via telephone during the Obamacare debates. I believe most of the participants who spoke were "plants" who had for one reason or another had lost their health insurance and chronic problems were devastating their finances. The one that stands out in my mind was a woman with a diabetic son who said that her son's testing strips alone were costing her 400 dollars a month.
I had to pick up my jaw off the floor when I heard that, because at the time I was taking care of a diabetic, testing his blood 4x a day, and the test strips cost 36 dollars for 100 strips, used with a meter that cost 15 dollars. Now if this woman was telling the truth, I suspect she was hooked up with one of these medical supply delivery services that were selling her the priciest strips on the market.
Our rep, a career politician, of course, has no answer but to sympathize with her, and he obviously didn't have any concept of the real world that he might have asked about brands or suppliers and suggest she might want to look around for better options, probably because her plight suited his agenda.

So, I assume, according to you, that JC has an option of working the street and the same 12 hour shift that you do? I also assume, because his police powers have been stripped, he is prohibited from working at any post he wants. So, his working callback is his choice, according to your bitching. Also suspensions, besides having an effect on income/pensions, will have an effect on when you can retire. I've been retired since 1996 and never did an hour or a day. But, others did and it affected their retirement date. Besides, overtime is not pensionable, you should know that also. Quit bitching, do your time or leave, it is your choice.
My advice would be to retire at the earliest time. If you have less than 15 years, you are young enough to get another job without working for these nit-wits. Take your pension money, put it into an IRA until you have another job, then roll it over into their tax deferred program. Our pensions are under 25% funded and the city and state are going bankrupt. There may not be any pension for you anyway. As I see it, you don't have much to loose and may solve a problem, yours!
