And Commander Jerome, who already took a 28-day suspension for the DUI incident (even though he was home in bed) showed up at the scene of this disaster.
Anyone know what City Hall is attempting to distract from this time?

Is/Was a higher ranking officer present (in existence) that could force an Administrative Blow? NO.
whats the basis of this DUI? Video of him drinking, that wasn't available at the time of the stop? Video that is likely not admissible in a Criminal Trial?
Hell, I've had a false arrest lawsuit from an arrest that was built on much sterner stuff. This case is a loser every day, and twice on Sunday.
Plus, he's a diabetic. That alcohol smell doesn't mean shit.
That one of EJs lay-broad merit Sgts is applying for a fed detail to Vice but it turns outs she’s been leaving a string of debts and collections in her wake, has deep connections to a few “el Rukn” and is indebted to them, a Foreclosed townhome, debts to HOA, repo’d cars. All while screwing the (former) 006 commander and EJ. It’s a big poopoo storm a brewin.

My money is on Ed getting charged with some type of theft for using police resources, paid for by the tax paying citizens, to get his little Johnson polished. He was DUI. Unless he has the Bionic Man's super human liver, 10 drinks would have fucked him up. Video footage and possibly records at the bar would confirm that. Just like if he robbed a liqour store on video he doesn't need to be pulled over on a traffic stop right after the offense to be found guilty later. The worst part is he drove in a City vehicle. The liability if this idiot crashed into somebody would have been through the roof!
Is the case a loser? You bet. You are right on that. Foxx's crew might be requesting all the records because of all the other garbage surrounding the DUI like accusations of rape and trading sex for merit promotions that will have to be investigated. I doubt it will start and end with IAD.

All these Officers and Supervisors and the Commander got time because of shithead Johnson, and he's collecting $180,000 pension. If he didn't want to cooperate, CALL THE STREET DEPUTY. I don't care if he is the Superintendent....he was acting like a street shithead.
Johnson is the quint essential model of the PETER PRINCIPLE. He was meritorious promoted to all of his positions including Superintendent. Don't get me wrong he is a very nice man. Although I did not work for him or with him he was always very cordial to me every time we saw each other. You hit the nail on the head. Make this a training scenario. It would have bosses shitting their pants because well, you know. Let’s face it, we all have bad days. None of us have lives that are perfect. Some of us have family we haven’t voluntarily invited into our lives etc. But those that still live like they can do whatever Hell they want despite laws, despite general orders etc don’t deserve to run our department. And if you’re a street level patrol officer or any minion who feels pressured into letting someone off the hook by someone who has rank on you-you need to cover your basis as soon as you get home.

I hate second guessing especially when I wasn’t there but I gotta chime in...in my many years on the job I’ve run into plenty of situations like this and they’re never easy and they never go away. It’s bad enough when you stop or get called to some connected jagoff’s house but when it’s your boss it’s a nightmare. Always always get a supervisor on scene if he/she isn’t already there. Do your job just like you’d do at anyone else’s house in the city. Document document document. I’m speaking from experience...if it’s not in your report it didn’t happen. BWCs are your friends in these fucked up situations.

There is not a good answer for a situation where a peon is brought into potential conflict with someone way up the food chain.
