I find it hard to understand why all the big hospitals in Chicagoland are not putting political pressure on the city and county to reduce the violence. 4,000 shot is 4,000 visits to the emergency room at a cost of $30,000 to $100,000 or more to a hospital already struggling to survive. I find it hard to believe 4,000 have BCBS, medicaid pays even less.

Well, most shooting victims are criminals themselves, so they could be future CTU members. The current members can't really get shot in Chicago, since they live outside the city and haven't had to go to work in 9 months.

Judge David Navarro allowed Riddle to get out of jail by posting just $1,000 bond after prosecutors accused him of trying to carjack a woman this week. Navarro made the decision just minutes after the courtâs pre-trial services officer advised that âmaximum conditions are recommendedâ for Riddleâs release.
