Contrarian Articles

Florian and Marty have been busy.

First, Sohnke takes a look at our own Chicago socialists:

  • If the Chicago City Council had a Mount Rushmore for sheer stupidity, the likenesses of its six-member Socialist Caucus would certainly feature prominently.

A group of cranks with crackpot ideas, these six ideological extremists include: Daniel La Spata, the delicate flower of the 1st Ward; 20th Ward militant Jeanette Taylor; Byron Sigcho-Lopez, the revolutionary who represents the 25th Ward; the 33rd Ward’s flighty Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez; 35th Ward blowhard Carlos Ramirez-Rosa; and the 40th Ward’s hip-hop artist-turned-officeholder, Andre Vasquez. The Chicago City Council’s version of “The Squad,” all but one was elected in 2019, and all six have backgrounds in community organizing.

A cult of action, community organizing is best defined as the practice of activists identifying a specific aggrieved population, and inflaming passions over their presumed plight. When a base is roused over the [supposedly] lamentable conditions in which they exist, activist leaders take collective action to apply pressure to local officials to redress their grievances, mainly by insisting the affected group receive money.

The Preib conducts an in-depth analysis of some Cook County judges tossing some sand in the gears of the "wrongful conviction" movement:

  • Have judges in Chicago had enough of Cook County prosecutor Kimberly Foxx and her media enablers? It appears they have.

Cook County judges Timothy Joyce and Arthur Hill, for example, recently refused to reverse the convictions of gang members Wayne Antusas and Nicholas Morfin at the behest of the Foxx administration. The men were convicted for their role in the 1995 murder of two girls in a botched gang hit.

Not only did two different judges refuse to reverse the convictions of the two men, despite Foxx prosecutors asking them to do so, but Judge Joyce also stated he now has doubts about his decision two years ago to drop the conviction of a third gang member, Matthew Sopron, convicted of ordering the gang hit gone wrong.

Judge Hill is a decent guy. I have dealt with him in the past outside of court. He just wants a safe city for everyone. Hes ok.

I was part of the Morfin, Antusas, Liberto and Sopron trial. Each and every one of them was guilty of conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder. Their actions caused the death of two 13 year old girls who were gunned down. Sopron should be back in prison not to see the light of day, and the seven others with him should all be cellmates until they burn in hell.

Matt Sopron is guilty as hell. He ordered the hit in front of numerous people and it was carried out by is fellow gang members including a juvenile gunman. Sopron was the leader of the Popes, a street gang of white guys that included several sons of police officers. They specialized in burglarizing Police Officers homes and stealing guns. Sopron’s family caused a stink for years screaming about his wrongful conviction. The juvenile was tried as an adult(different world back then in the early 90’s) and after he did about 20 years of his sentence(50% back then) and was getting ready to be released a couple years ago and recanted his incriminating statement about Sopron ordering the hit. Said he made that part up. Gee, why?

Chicago has been the cesspool of community organizing and socialism for decades. While we are out toiling for a living these parasites are sucking the life out of us. How much more do they want?

"Toni! They're not doing what I tell them to!"

- Kim Foxx to Toni Preckwinkle

We'll see how long this lasts. Preckwinkle wields a lot of power when it comes to judges getting campaign funding & being re-elected.

If judge Sullivan, of General Flynn fame, can disregard prosecutors and do WTF he feels like, why not any judge around here? As a recent escapee from the home for the incredibly shitbrained, crimesha should applaud their "independence"

Read the article about the Socialist group in City Council. Whil all in arrival was true it was way to wordy. The average reader would stop reading after first paragraph. They are winning because they make very simple arguments that their voting base can identify with. Sorry Florian might have won the battle with that article but he will lose the war if he continues down that path. Suggest a redo using the K.I.S.S. Principles.

That interest free loan idea could work. However before I give you that loan what collateral of greater value are you putting up? You do understand that one missed payment will result in loss of said collateral? Just one missed payment and I take it away from you forever. Still want to do the deal? Didn’t think so.

Marty Prieb has done more for the men and woman of the department than most people realize. For the last 10 years he has worked relentlessly to expose the hypocrisy of the wrongful conviction movement. This movement is highlighted by the relentless attacks against Police Officers, especially retired Detectives, from law firms that specializes in suing the Police and the city for money. He also exposed the city's willingness to allow this run away movement to be a way of life. This was especially true during the Emmanual's time in office. He is an excellent writer and maybe it was best that he did loose the election for the presidency of the FOP. By loosing he can concentrate on his writing and exposing more of this hypocrisy.

This pile of bullshit only runs in Chicago with its hispanic population predominantly Mexican/ Puerto Rican. Here in Houston, the Hispanic population is comprised of Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and other people displaced by "Democrat Socialists". Many of them are educated, worked in the oil industry that Hugo Chavez tanked when his communists took over. They love their
countries and would go back in a minute
if someone would overthrow the communists. They know better. They've seen these bullshit artists in action and they've seen the results. Once the largest exporter of oil in Latin America, the Venezuelan economy is now in ruins. Just like the Cubans, they hate these communists. Trump picked up 10% more votes here than the first election. Chicago public schools turn out idiots who are easily led. That's their intention and why these teachers indoctrinate these kids in Marxism early in the public schools. YOU KNOW ALL OF THESE BULLSHITTER ALDERMEN HAVE ENDORSEMENT FROM THE TEACHERS UNION.
THIS BULLSHIT ONLY FLIES IN CHICAGO, FUCK CHICAGO.

All aldermen all dirt bags. Thieves and liars. Cut the city council down. What do they do, besides leverage zoning changes for "donations"? Are they really a system of "checks & balances" if they consistently, blindly and overwhelmingly follow the mayor? We have 311 for city services. Cut the city council down to ten members.

"I was part of the Morfin, Antusas, Liberto and Sopron trial." You're drunk or have a big BS tattoo on your forehead. Every witness lied at trial because they were threatened. Perjury, corruption, hidden benefits, covered up drug use, hiding evidence, contradicted BS stories, it goes on and on. The loss of the girls due to the foolish and impulsive behavior of a single 15 year old that stole a gun was a heartbreaking tragedy but is the simple truth of it. You know who should be in prison, anyone who helps witnesses lie in court.

Perpetual victims.

These six socialists are down to five. The 🌹caucus that these clowns are part of the Democratic Socialists of America, Chicago Chapter (located on Diversey on the border of Logan Square and Avondale. The CDSA recently voted to remove Andre Vasquez (40th) because he voted for the Mayor’s budget a couple of weeks ago.

Carlos Daniel Ramirez-Rosa is the Alderman of the 35th Ward in LS and Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez of the 33rd. Daniel LaSpata is the androgynous man with white ish hair who is the white lion of Wicker Park, Humboldt Park and the parts of Logan Square that aren’t also covered by “hyphens”-Rosa (who is not to be confused with “hyphens” Rodriguez-Sanchez or “Hyphens” Byron Sigcho-Lopez). (Perhaps the CDSA voted to censure Vasquez because he didn’t have enough hyphens in his name? 🤪)

With the exception of Taylor, the only black, is not in a gentrifying community. Ironically enough, the young gentrifiers who took out way too much debt for Gender Studies degrees from expensive Liberal Arts because their rich (and sometimes wealthy) parents refuse to pay for. But they still move to the big city, live in expensive apartments while getting a job at a bar, while others end up working in CPS or for not for profit groups that claim to fight for social justice causes, one of them being gentrification and displacement. Thing is, when they move into these neighborhoods, they’re actually the ones responsible for displacing the working class black and indigenous people they’re “fighting“ for.

They’re also some of the people responsible for a lot of the civil unrest this summer.

Rest assured though, we understand, some of the governmental agencies are aware of who each and every one of these people are, from the Aldercreatures to their friends and fellow activists on the streets. Taps and surveillance, money moving from one organization to the other. Could be a very big RICO case against these little LARPERS.

Yeah, I wasnt on the department back then but even I could tell it was probably bullshit. That Sopron guy was a loser but he supposedly had a nine to five job as a forklift operator and was 25 years old at the time he supposedly ordered the hit. Correct me if I'm wrong but this crew of white gang bangers sounded like a pathetic bunch that dealt in small time burglaries when they weren't listening to gangster rap albums. Doesn't sound like they were moving kilos of cocaine and could lose a substantial amount of dollars if some other loser gang was hanging out on their turf like in the black hood.

I'm not being a pussy bleeding heart liberal. Far from it. I'm just tired of having to pay for the 'loose with the rules,' tactics done by my predecessors while they are comfortably retired. Because the shooter was some cop's kid, that failed to raise him properly, the dics probably went above and beyond their normal routine with this case.

Marty Preib and I attended a meeting for the consent decree in Lisa Madigan’s office . There were several Fop officials who also attended the same meeting along with attorneys for each side . At the end of the meeting we attempted to convince the last President to “intervene “
Immediately . Without our knowledge the sitting President was meeting with what is now the “liaison “ to City Hall who made a motion at the Fop Board meeting “ not to intervene “ in the consent decree . What’s amazing is that you have many members who work against the working cop solely for their own personal gain . This person has the current Mayors cellphone and attended her inauguration . Marty and I were right in voting against this motion . It’s easy to attack others but much more difficult to “ FIX” a problem . Marty and I were correct about this and several others issues that occurred in the past administration . The biggest detractors then are now in office . The easiest way to get re-elected to office is do nothing ! Don’t make enemies ! God help us !

I was a supervisor in the 8th District at the time of this shooting. Antusas, Liberto, Morfin, and Sopron were part of the Popes Street Gang. These assholes terrorized the west end of the 8th District for quite some time. They specialized in burglarizing Police Officers homes and stealing their guns. Antusus, Morfin, and Sopron were guilty then and they are guilty now. However, I don't believe Liberto was a active participant in the shooting. He had some mental issues and did not stand trail. I know for a fact that he stayed in his mother and fathers basement for years fearing he was going to get killed by the other gang members. Lt. Crosset Hamilton's son was the leader of the Popes Street Gang at the time but was not implicated in this shooting. This kid was a real piece of shit. I personally got into it with the Hamilton kid responding to a 10-1. The 8th District tactical team made many arrest but because they were juveniles it was a revolving door in juvenile court. Sad, so very sad in many aspects.

Liberto stood for trial and was found NOT guilty by a sitting judge. He had zero mental issues and stood inside his house so some goof cop didn't arrest him on some BS charge losing his bond money his CFD father had to put up because of bs charges.
