Odd Twist
The dead armed robber from a few days ago that we were hoping might be connected to the Frank Castle / Paul Kersey storyline:
A West Town man who was reportedly killed after he shot his friend during a robbery attempt near Goose Island early Sunday died almost exactly three years after he robbed another man while claiming to have a gun in the same area, according to court records.
Police found Adan Delgado, 27, with multiple gunshot wounds and a handgun lying nearby in the 1200 block of West Fry around 4:30 a.m. on December 6. Another man who lives about a block away reportedly told police that his friend, Delgado, shot him in the leg during a robbery attempt moments earlier. The man, 28, said he ran away after Delgado shot him and he then heard more gunfire behind him.
This sounds like a fun one - accomplice gets shot by the guy carrying the heater, who has a hunting ground he likes to hang around, and then the shooter gets whacked by....the accomplice? The victim? The vigilante (which is what we were hoping for)?
And is there a list of unsolved robberies or patterns in this area that might be X-Cleared Closed now?

Now that you've said I wonder - could it indeed be that the two of them were working together, their victim started shooting back, killed one, wounded the other, and now the survivor blames his dead partner for shooting him?
Starting to sound like the dead shooter and his friend were actually robbing someone else. The someone else was armed. The true victim probably pulled out his own gun and dead shooter accidentally shoots his friend who tries to run away. True victim then lights up dead shooter and leaves. This would make the most sense...
A P.O.S. is no longer draining the "system" or breeding future drainers. It's a win win.
I need a scorecard for this one.
It's just too much for 1:43 AM.
Damn. Was hoping Batman was real. Turns out it was just one upright, walking shitbag shooting another upright, walking shitbag. But if the detectives can get something to stick, then this is a twofer on shitbags.
North Siders can be so very entertaining.
Yes, when I read it the first time, I was hoping a vigilante had stepped in.
I saw this movie once where an alien predator hunted down armed humans and kept their skulls as trophies. Anyone have any info if the shitbird was found without his skull and spinal column?
C'mon man! The guy shot in the leg was with the dead robber when the armed victim shot them both. The one robber, shot in the leg ran off, leaving his buddy to eat dirt. If they get a bullet from the leg, ballistics will prove this. As we used to say, today's victim is tomorrow's offender!
Keep the yellow slips flowing.
Let’s assume the Area dedicated 100 hours so far on this investamagation’ (just 1 investigator allowed?) which is not limited to field interviews and video watching.
The 2-Term silent termite CookCo States Atty KmmFxxxUp 2024 or minion thereof would still Deny a Felony in less than 3 minutes should that dead armed assailant return from the grave and shotkilt someone else in retaliation for either disrespect’n or robbery.
CCX - by State’s Atty Disinterest.
Follow the science. The city is a better place without Adan.
The cameras everywhere, coupled with Kimeesha's habit of prosecuting the wrong people and letting the scum walk are discouraging Vigilante justice. Not that the idea of a little Wyatt Earp/Paul Kersey style "Shoot, Scoot and Stay Mute" street justice isn't an attractive alternative. But as long as Speer keeps producing Gold Dot Hollow Points, it's always a possibility.
A couple of you beat me to it:
*The dead guy was convicted of an armed robbery a few years earlier, and so was his ACCOMPLICE.
*The guy shot in the leg told 911 that his "friend" shot him while trying to mug him.
It seems to make the most sense that the dead guy and the wounded guy were a team trying to mug someone who pulled own gun and killed the convicted mugger--at the very least. Has it even been determined yet that the bullet that hit the guy's leg came from the dead guy's gun?
The skull and spinal column were intact; however the getaway car was missing it's hemi engine.
Too weird of a story to be true.
I have had contact with the dead guy in the system.
The cure for cancer is still out there, and he has ended up
precisely where he was destined for. The loss to humanity is
negligible.
