- SCC-OT civilian Deputy Chief Khan didn’t get his gun and badge so he quit and went to join the private sector. Guess who is taking over?!
This was actually one of the past First Deputy's brighter moves. This softball demanded a badge and gun without any sort of training or qualifications (like Masters Masters Masters) based solely on the fact that he was working for a police department and held the civilian equivalent of Deputy Chief designation.
We were told he complained almost weekly about not having a gun.
So who's taking over? We already know that Seattle reject Maurice "Pickles" Claussen is making all the major decisions for Brownie (via Groot).

He was also a PO in a suburb before coming here so he should have been certified so his badge and gun sounds off. But maybe they wouldn't give him the title and sworn position of Deputy Chief or Chief that he wanted.
I was told he left because we are that fucked up and he couldn't get anything accomplished. 1 less carpetbagger for us to deal with. Now to get rid of the rest of Groot's minions....

Point to the statute that says it's illegal. Every suburban trustee has a badge of various colors. Granted, it's so they can impersonate law enforcement just like this stroke. But it's not illegal to issue it. "Illegal" comes in to play with how they use it to represent their level of authority. Every stroke department of revenue meter maid like "finance guy on a bike" that couldn't get hired by a PD is issued a badge by the city.
He was NEVER a Deputy Chief, only a Deputy Director. He called himself a Deputy Chief but he was never promoted .
