SCC Investigates
So John Kass writes a column about politicians being hypocrites:
Austin Mayor Steve Adler, a Democrat, offered a thoughtful and politically correct coronavirus warning to the people of his Texas city. He told them to stay vigilant and stay home. And he threatened to shut the town down if people didn’t follow the rules.
“We need to stay home if you can,” Adler said on a video in November reported by the Austin American-Statesman. “This is not the time to relax. We are going to be looking really closely. … We may have to close things down if we are not careful.”
Only one tiny problem. According to the newspaper, Mayor Adler wasn’t at home following his own rules. He was hanging out in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on vacation with others.
John lists a bunch of politicians who have been caught dirty as far as abiding by their own restrictions goes. He even mentions Groot by name, but he reaches all the back to Groot's haircut, carefully avoiding numerous other incidents by her and our part-time resident Illinois governor, making us think that poor John is trying to be seen as mostly harmless by local pols so that he can get invited back to their cocktail parties.
Maybe we're wrong.
But we decided to do a little investigating on our own about local pols flouting and avoiding COVID restrictions. And boy oh boy, did we find one. We'll be putting it all together for tomorrow's top post. You aren't going to want to miss this one - it has photographs and everything.

It’s the Democrat politicians (lockdowns & masks for thee but not for me) who are dining in restaurants, traveling etc., not wearing ppe equipt., and just before they break rules they give you that virtuous speech about how you must abide by the rules. It rids them of guilt when they do the opposite of what they are advising.

No big news here as far as the Illinois Dynamic Duo of Governor Fat Slob and Mayor Brillo Head.Both have routinely fled Illinois each and every weekend since March.They reside in the State 3 days a week at most and dare anyone to call them on it.

I remember when Kass wrote a scathing column about Mike Madigan years ago. The machine had to contact the Trib and threaten them with something because the next day he wrote a column about how great Madigan's skills are at organizing and how difficult it is to keep the organization running and nobody could do it like Madigan. That's when I knew journalism was dead in Chicago.
John is not on our side, never has been.
All the great Democratic leaders in IL. that have forced businesses to close up and cost people to lose income because of the Plandemic should lead by example, and forfeit their pay for as long as they are keeping the shops, bars, and restaurants closed, it wouldn't hurt Pritzger any but I bet the rest of the scum would end the shutdowns fast.

The fact that Democrat politicians won’t follow the rules they put in place, rules they say are intended to “save lives”, is more than just typical Democrat hypocrisy.
IF Groot and JB the Hutt ACTUALLY thought that breaking their “rules” would put their lives at risk, they would both be triple masked and barricaded in their basements. These are not courageous people - they will do ANYTHING to protect their own lives.
So, if Groot and JB and their Democrat colleagues are going to lobbyist dinners, traveling out of town or mingling unmasked in crowds, it’s because they KNOW that doesn’t change their risk of catching COVID.
But, since they created the COVID crisis with their “panic porn”, now they feel they have to be seen “doing something” about it.
It’s a political thing - even if doing nothing would give a better outcome than “doing something”, a politician will always choose to “do something”. And this pandemic is a perfect example of a situation where, out of all the options at the politicians have at their disposal, doing nothing would work the best.
And, from their actions, we can see that even THEY realize it...
The LightFührer entourage needs to be followed around and timed to see if the Taxpayers are getting the full value of her salary. Part-time mayor with a full time big mouth blasting and blaming everyone for all the problems doesn’t count as compensable productivity.
I implore anyone to provide one (1) task, promise or accomplishment Larri has delivered and was beneficial to the entire City.
Any asshole can raise property taxes (and man did they) under the guise of “it’s for the kids and underserved” but only one current asshole was able squander $470 million in pandemic bailout funding and still almost double the budget deficit in less than 6 months then piss away incoming revenue by locking down businesses, encouraging riots and looting, spending surplus funds to garner favor with radical unions and block funding corrupt community organizations. So it’s not just me. Only 1 in 10 columns from him are worth reading anymore, and it’s been that way for a long time.
Is Governor Fatso back at the family’s equestrian estate in Florida? Doesn’t he know the Florida Governor has had no restrictions in the state for some time? Perhaps Fatso is trying to establish residency in Florida to avoid paying his Illinois state income tax.

I've posted this before. NOBODY in the media is your friend. That's not their job. You are a source, fodder for someone who gets paid to put their opinion in print. When I read somebody here post "he has our back" I wonder how long it'll take for them to wise up. How many VanDyke stories, in print or on TV, used the expression "pumped 16 shots into him"? Like he was the Rifleman or something. What many of you may have noticed over the past 10 years or so, is that many of these former reporters, or journalists or more accurately columnists, are no longer reporting. They're media personalities. They show up on election night on TV to do commentary, they fill in as guest hosts on talk radio or they create podcasts and beat tired expressions they've used in their columns like Kass does, when he talks about "tribes" or "wetting their beaks". Its all horseshit. Unfortunately, for police, most only find out what the media is like AFTER they step on their dicks. Then other considerations enter your personal life. Things like; why are they writing about my wife and kids? Nope, you newbies out there, pay attention. Don't give these guys the ammunition to shoot you in the foot and ruin your life. Again, none of these slime have your back, no matter what they tell you.
