Once again, the CWB blog is the only one covering crimes against the police - this one slipped under our radar from last week:
Attempted murder charges were filed Sunday against a reputed gang member who allegedly fired shots at a Chicago cop who approached him on the Far North Side this weekend. Court records show a judge found the man — who has several large gang-related tattoos on his face and neck — not guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm in July 2019.
He and the cops exchanged gunfire with no one being hit.
The judge who let him go previously?
- According to court records, on May 28, 2018, Chicago police accused Jasso of having a gun after they approached him for urinating on the street about four blocks from where Saturday’s shoot-out occurred. Prosecutors charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and a grand jury later returned a true bill accusing him of six felony gun charges, records show.
Jasso took the case to a bench trial before Judge Timothy Chambers in July 2019. Chambers found him not guilty on all counts, according to court documents.
Chambers didn't even find him guilty of pissing on the sidewalk.
Someone up north remembers this piece of shit and comments:
- Since this is a public forum I don’t say too much but if you work north it would behoove you to acquaint yourself with him and his brother who lived together at the same location. You can see by the tats who he is affiliated with. Examine the rap sheets, arrest reports, case reports for your safety and I really mean that as someone who has dealt with them in the past. It’s disheartening to read he was acquitted again. There is no justice in Cook County. Be cautious and safe.
Must be a pretty interesting rap sheet.

Another fatal shooting on the expressway at the Jayne Byrne interchange Fri at about 1:30pm. Closed for about four hours. Nothing about it on the 2 news tonight but they showed homes decorated for Christmas.
Why bother making arrests?? Perhaps if we stop making arrests, we will not need ASA's and judges...therefore get rid of them. Wait till one of them takes a bullet in the ass and lets see how they rule!
Cook County judges are assholes
Many are arrogant and too many of them are assholes that the whole lot of them are spoiled. I offer as evidence the decades of violent offenders being set free by Cook County judges even under solid cases and the fact that a vast majority of those same offenders go on to commit more violent crime.

Meanwhile, More than 140 criminal homicides have been reported this year in Louisville, shattering the city's previous record of 117 set in 2016. The latest one a 17 year old black female. I wonder when the protests start, BLM Where Are You? As of Nov. 29, LMPD's there have been 552 nonfatal shootings in 2020. But by all means defund the police.

The 80's were horrible for judges in Colombia. As a kid I remember my uncle telling me "Son, they don't like what we do in public, but they like it behind doors but I like to expose them". Now as an adult, as a cop who conducted multiple drugs arrest came to realize what my uncle meant. He was 100% right. R.I.P. Tio.

024 is still a slower district but it’s the busiest on the Northside by far. The jungle is a mini west side and the rest of the district is loaded with section 8 apartments. As are the politicians, the politicians will actually show up at political rallies with ranking gang members. They have no fear of the media. The media probably has killed stories with bribes, city or county jobs from politicians. And do not forget how many democratic politicians family members are members of the media.
