Shots Fired At / By Police

This one slipped under the radar - no one hit overnight Sunday:

  • Chicago police were searching for two men after gunfire was exchanged with officers in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side late Sunday, authorities said.

An officer drew his weapon and shot at least once toward one of the men who had shot at him and his partner, according to a preliminary statement from the department. No one was injured.

Be careful out there.

Wait a minute.....you can shoot at cops now? Can I just pop off a few warning shots when I'm getting pulled over so the cops will just fire off a warning back and send me on my way?

If these "youths" like gunplay with their perceived enemies, how about bringing back the draft? Back in the day when drafted, Uncle Sam picks a job for you. Infantry usually. If one does not go along with the program there are serious consequences, like Federal military prison or worse from your fellow soldiers. Or instant karma from the enemy if one did not pay attention during training. Plus, you don't have to pay them as much as they do now. Win win all around!

I believe it should read the officer “allegedly” fired one shot.

Shots spotting is putting us in harms way...for essentially a Found Property case report.

Placed on administrative duty for now as el’COPA desperately seeks witnesses in the next few years.
Uniform infractions still count as COPA convictions.

Where’s Hushed Browns?

If you listed to the radio traffic of this incident its interesting. The P.O. that was the victim got on the radio and called the 10-1, gave the location, discerption, and direction of flight. Then he ordered K-9, set up a perimeter and asked if the helicopter was available. The dispatcher, also doing a great job, asked for a supervisor and kinda paused waiting for someone that is a supervisor to do his or her job and do what they are getting paid for, to supervise. Maybe I heard it wrong but it felt like something was missing.

Comment at 09:59 AM--------The department has no Supervisors, instead STUPIDvisors, the bosses are long gone. In the last three years I've been in several different districts and have not met a white shirt that knows the fucking job. Some act and try to be kool but dont know shit, some are just trying to get into PPO's pants, most don't have the balls to make a decision, and so forth. I'm disgusted to what we have become. I thought getting young on the job was a blessing but now its a curse.
