He fucked over Lieutenant Richard in 002 over the time due book. Richards ran the time due book as the WOL and Corwin was the Captain. Corky told Richards to deny people CU and Richards basically told him since he (Richards) was running the time due he would decide if denial of CU was necessary. Ole' boy didn't like that so at a later date, Corky brought a F/1 Sergeant to stand near the Watch Commanders office as he went in again to tell Richards to deny CU. Richards refused and Corky walked out and ordered the Sergeant to write a "To-From" about what she just overheard. Needless to say Lt. Richards ended up with a number.
Richards ended up stripped for "failing to carry out a direct order" and eventually had to retire. I'm not sure if he got to retire in good standing though. It wasn't too long after that incident that Corky got called to random where he blew hot for alcohol and had to take the "cure" and was gone for a number of months. It was obvious to the folks paying attention in 002 that he was half liquored up on many a night. It wasn't too long after that ole' Cork retired.
