The NYPD has been on the alert for weeks for possible attacks similar to Friday’s deliberate RV explosion in Nashville, The Post has learned.
An internal NYPD memo issued earlier this month warned that law enforcement were the "priority targets" for terror attacks involving homemade bombs and vehicle arson.
The Dec. 14 memo, obtained by The Post, said violent extremists and "malicious criminal actors" might go after cops to exacerbate tensions, "exploit civil unrest" and incite further violence.
The document referenced Al-Qaeda propaganda released on Nov. 26 that urged radical jihadists to exploit the COVID-19 pandemic to attack "priority targets."
Those targets included retired officers, business leaders, intelligence personnel and "soldiers and police of every brand."

If the attacks are being carried-out by leftists, you can rest assured the Feds will be too busy rearranging their sock drawers to do anything about it (proactively or reactively).

I do not believe, from the scant info I have read, that the bomb in Nashville was targeted at police, or first responders. I feel it is an attack towards AT&T and the communications nexus. If they were targeting police and first responders, they would not have given the warning about the bomb, that undoubtedly saved lives. They would have just let it blow with everyone standing around outside. Of course I have little info and could be wrong, but it doesn't feel like an attack against authority.
I can only assume our counter terrorism unit is way ahead of any terrorist threat. Especially since some POs are done making their collections instead of submitting the unit OT.

Thank you! That's what I was just thinking. There seems to be a knee-jerk reaction to blame socialists BLM, ANTIFA,etc. per normal, and maybe that's the case. But I'm not certain we know that's what was behind this at this point. I too am interested to hear the motive.

Unlike the earlier post who believes in the need to be proactive and whatever, I in the contrary with my 20 years on came to the conclusion that my only purpose on this job is to get a pay check to provide my children. I was very pro active, what some refer as the REAL POLICE, well I always say I know enough on how to get by and thats all I need, but I happen to know the job better than most Sgt.'s and some Lt's. Bit the point I'm trying to make is that I'll be a hero any time for my kids, fuck everyone else.

Get a bullet mould that casts the Kieth 170gr 38/357 LSWC. VERY accurate and deadly even at modest velocities of 700/800 fps. Hits hard at longer ranges.

Be careful to get a REAL GOOD CRIMP if you're loading 158 gr. for a snub - there is just something about a lighter gun that seems to make it act like an inertial bullet puller with heavy bullet/stiff load. 2 shots and trigger pull is binding. Slug had backed out a little and tip was scraping. Squeeze HARD! as in emergency, and the next 3 will go, but...best to find this out on the farm in the daytime...
Ol'Elmer never had a .44 Spl. that he couldn't blow up. Finally had to write to S&W...Elmer and Doug Wesson worked up all of the Magnums.

I think this is much deeper than we realize. I believe that foreign and domestic groups have come together in a attempt to overthrow our country. I believe one of the goals is to cause so much havoc that the left will declare Marshall Law, Suspend Habeas Corpus, suspend the 2nd Admendment, and employ Federal Troops. This will eventual lead to a civil war and the destruction of our country. Marks, Lenin, and Alinsky all rolled up in one.

Hot rumor is that this week (12/27-1/1) the Kenosha DA will NOT indict the cop who shot Jacob Blake last summer. Kenosha PD already on 12-hour shifts, no days off....

I have zero special info about what happened, but from the details so far I have a guess:
A late middle-age guy with no family who was liked by neighbors but had no actual friends slowly went on a downward spiral after the lockdowns whacked what little normal life he had. He became obsessed with something or other (NSA, 5G, or who-knows-what) but his real problem was having zero reason to go on living. From there to the conclusion. Having the thing go boom at 6am on Xmas after a loud 15 minute countdown indicates he wasn’t a terrorist,
This doesn’t fit anyone’s agenda, so if it does turn out to be true it will not be the media narrative.
