As I mentioned a few days ago from what my wife’s alderman uncle was talking about at thanks giving— talks are in for a Chicago income tax like the one New York City has. Take a deep breath guys— this is gonna hurt

JCAT just proved how easily he can be fooled by the city into doing exactly what they want. Many districts are not denying much time.. it Happens yes, but not all too often. So, JCAT admitted on the fop Facebook page that the fop traded this new time off initiative to NOT fight the implementation of squad policing. It looked great to the fop because it brings days off to 30 percent and looks like TONS of OT for everyone right?? Especially since you have to cover 30 percent per district right? NOPE!! So, if 8 people take off on a watch they are not hiring back anyone.. in fact, they are giving UP TO 30 percent off free, THEN, in the case that someone wants a day off over the 30 percent mark and the WC is going to deny them THEN they will hire someone back to cover that one spot. We vary rarely go over the 15 percent. It will be even more rare we go over the 30 percent. When we go over 30 it must be someone from the same watch and may only be one or two people. So this will not be a big VRI type deal everyone thinks. They may not need someone for an entire week or two or more if they don’t go over 30 percent. The city wanted squad policing without a fight from the FOP and they got it. This was a terrible plan and these morons agreed to this and doesn’t even benefit ALL the members of their union.. who pay them dues. Only people on a watch. So no detectives, tac,gangs,units, ETs, K9, admin or anyone else are not eligible. Thousands of their own members this doesn’t benefit. This administration may be able to bark big for the cameras but they are completely inept at bargaining.
Groot and JB Punkster made Illinois and Chicago a very undesirable place to live. Sad! Awful!

These kids is CST are getting ridiculous. I’m going through the arrests made by CST teams in a few of the area 1 and area 2 teams. A long form traffic arrest for a suspended DL no insurance for a 54 year old female with no IR number. A homeless 69 year old man with heroin residue. 1 gram of cannabis in a “non odor proof container” on a kid from the suburbs wearing a work uniform with no IR number once again. A 62 year old homeless begger on the off ramp of the expressway for “obstructing traffic”. Another traffic violator long form for a 23 year old female with one prior arrest for traffic in the suburbs. You wonder why crime is skyrocketing? You wonder why it didn’t drop when the new CST unit was formed? Well this is it. BS arrests by kids who don’t have a clue. The above people have no bearing on the crime in those neighborhoods, they are pimpy arrests for the sake of a number. Jesus, at least when tac teams of old would bring in BS arrests they were at least thugs, gang bangers or parolees who actually had a hand in crime. Now it’s just getting sad. They have no clue how to police actual gang members and stop actual crime. Go after real criminals super stars.
Those moving vans are really expensive going out of state. I propose we charter a train. Rail is the cheapest form of shipment. Everybody get together and leave in mass like the migrant caravans that are coming here from south of the border. For a whole house full of belongings you probably need only half of a box car.

The above commentator makes sense. I have a few career options lined up for when I retire. I have the advanced degrees to make the options viable. I paid off my house in Chicago, about a year ago. Knowing that you have options goes a long way in staying mentally and physically healthy. We are all aware of the proverbial police officer who is stuck on the job because he or she needs the medical insurance and has no practical options. Do not be that guy.

You must not have a clue what’s going on in the districts. We are hiring back 4-5 officers a day and having the previous watch stay over as well to just try to man all the beats. I don’t see this ending just because of 30%. I see the overtime opportunities increasing and the time off opportunities increasing as well. The way I see it, the FOP got something in exchange for squad policing, which would happen any way. You’re grinding the wrong axe here.

At a news event yesterday, the governor actually blamed former governor "Bruce Rauner" for the mass exodus of Illinois. He continued with a bunch of nonsense that people left because of the former governor's poor policies. He said he was working hard to change the course of those poor policies. People would have to be patient because it was like turning around a battleship around, from it's course. I heard of no one challenging this nonsense. He must have read the "Rules for Radicals" book.

Because things go so well THESE DAYS when you try and lock up a thug, gang banger etc. when shit goes south and they wind up on the news where will you be? They are playing it safe when downtown just pushes for numbers, I can’t blame them. It’s over hero, open your eyes.
From a retired Suburban FF to all current and retired men & women in Blue, Brown, Dark Blue, any anyone wearing “plain clothes” I want to wish all of you carrying a star a very Merry Christmas & please be safe & enjoy whatever time you get with family and friends!! There are so many of us (not just F/F’s) but people who care about you as not only “cops” but as human beings. We have all seen the worst our fellow man can do to themselves and others, be it a moron who falls asleep W/ a lit cigarette and burns down a bldg. to an idiot who drives drunk & kills a family & walks away W/O a cut on them. If you need help ask for it the “silly season” is not so silly if you’re in a bad place, please get help. If you’re on the street be safe. I just listened to an imported Indian "scholar" from Berkeley explain how they need to force everyone back to the cities because he believes that cities are less harmful to the environment. I say that we give that silly bastard a one-way ticket to Mumbai so that he can do more research. I'm guessing that the hippies at Berkeley have him on dope.
If you do go the farm route. Did you know that you can get a grant for a free "high tunnel" (unheated greenhouse) from the USDA/NRCS? You can frow nearly year-round. I just did it. Look it up online, "NRCS free high tunnel". A tiny amount of paperwork. I can feed my family, friends, and send produce to the Farmer's market.

The Maryland canine officer who pleaded on Newsmax TV for a pardon from President Donald Trump has received her Christmas wish.
The former Prince George's County Police canine officer Stephanie Mohr, convicted in 2001 of a federal Civil Rights violation, served 10 years in prison after her police dog bit a burglar during an arrest in 1995.
"I am incredibly grateful to the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund for standing by my side and never abandoning me," Mohr said in a statement provided by LELDF to Newsmax on Wednesday. "Without LELDF and its donors and loyal supporters, I honestly don't think this pardon would have happened."
Mohr's pardon petition was aided by LELDF President Jason Johnson, and she made an impassioned plea to the president on "John Bachman Now" earlier this month.
"This has been a long, hard slog for Stephanie Mohr, who served her complete sentence of 10 years – one year for each of the 10 stitches it took to heal the wounds on an escaping burglar's leg," said Johnson, a former police officer and Deputy Commissioner, in the release.

off topic, the media is blaming House GOP for blocking the $2000 stimulus payment. Trump threatened to veto the bill, beacuse of billions going to other countries and only $600 going to Americans. House bill ups the payment without cutting anything else. Funny thing though, the GOP does not control the House. That means that some Dems had to vote gainst it too, but if you listen to the media, the GOP minority was somehow able to single handedly block the bill.
What’s funnier then the almost 80,000 leaving Illinois is they are taking a minimum of $120,000,000 in tax revenue with them. Take that Fatso.

Need to reconsider. If Texas secedes they will lose Hugh part of their economy, all of the military bases. Of which there are many.
