Didn't she get in trouble for doing the same thing when working in Fugitive Apprehension several years ago. Oh I get it, you're a female with multiple meritorious bumps, you're kid\relative gets arrested and you make calls to get everything go away! This is the Chicago way on this job. Great job

UPDATE: Some charges approved. Multiple guns, and the driver certainly wasn't going to be shooting with both hands. Someone got RWOC somehow - no Constructive Possession? - but having high ranking members raising UUW offenders. This isn't an issue somehow?

There was another commander of the 005th district for 20 minutes by the name of Mathews who’s son was arrested on the Northside with a gun he too was demoted back to Lt. after demanding his son be released.
And there was another Newly promoted MexicanADS who’s PO son had some kind of altercation with a female and the ADS came into the Northside district and ordered the Lt W/C to release his son. The LT instead called someone else and the newly promoted ADS was demoted back to LT again. His son who was in the police academy at the time was either fired or just quit the police academy.

Chief walker was one of these people. We have 3 prominent black woman who love to get into cat fights at fires to see who is in charge. All 3 are dumber than a box of rocks.
In a nutshell- Well about 2 months ago there was a high rise fire and chief walker wanted to be in charge - she was denied and sent in. She needed help putting on and turning on her SCBA. She left her radio in the car. She would not answer her radio when call - which In turn should have been a mayday - but anothe black Chief was answering for her. She somehow passed out in the stairwell and needed to be hospitalized.
Fast forward a few days - now she is saying the white chiefs left her to die. Truth be told -black chiefs were runnng this whole fire and it wasn’t to the white chiefs got on scene and noticed she was missing and she was found by a white truck company who dragged her useless ass out.
Another failure Rocky Morris has been acting up at the deputy district chief as well. This is a recipe for disaster....
She has now filed a lawsuit against the city. Maybe this will be the mail in the coffin for merit promotions... one could hope.

Some charges approved?? No, all charges that were sought were charged. The driver was released because the arrestee who was charged admitted that he brought both guns into the car. The driver did the smart thing and denied any knowledge of the guns being inside the vehicle and said he had no clue the passenger was in possession of them then lawyered up. Now tell me, how do you charge the driver?? You can’t, unless you want to wind up in federal court. If the driver said the gun is not mine but I knew it was in the car then he technically could also get it if he was a felon. Case was charged appropriately and the driver was RWOC and never even presented to the state. The passenger, or the bosses kid, was presented and charges approved. This whole thing was by the book. Your rumors are not accurate.

That’s the problem, right there. Gold star or not, if your kid gets caught with a gun, then your kid gets caught with a gun. Somewhere along the way, the kid went bad, and now, he should own up to WHAT HE DID, and face the consequences (which, in Cook Co., are minimal at best). If we’re all blue, then it shouldn’t matter. Special treatment because mom is a boss? No. Because he is black? No. He got caught with a gun. Period. If mom wants to help him, she can hire a good lawyer. And our states attorney already thinks there are too many minorities in the system, so she’ll plea it down anyways, again, absolving Junior of any real responsibility, so where does race really come in to play? An attempted Armed carjacking that took the life of a retired firefighter is an example of the upward spike in carjackings. Closing in on 800 murders. The rise in gun violence. You can only imagine what they got away with before getting caught? Thankfully they did get caught! Is a gun offender living under your roof? If this Cmdr interfered in any shape or form with the arrest she should be demoted immediately. But then again this is CPD and this too will get swept under that dirty old city rug.

Regardless as to who had the guns since both denied, who’s son got arrested or RWOC, the fact that the guns were on the car is an automatic impound . I wouldn’t care if it were Bens vehicle. Period

No disrespect, but you must be retired for quite some time or a civilian.
Laws changed and cars aren’t impounded automatically for guns anymore unless there are certain additional factors.

Where you been??? Can’t impound a car for a gun anymore. It’s been like that for about a year or two. Only a “machine gun”
Can be impounded. Next time try and have accurate info if you’re going to post. If you’re retired please don’t worry about anything police related anymore.. if you’re still on the job please don’t take a promotional test, you’re already failing.

You guys all realize that his mother didn’t interfere in this at all right? She didn’t even call the station the night of the arrest. What she did do, is call the officers supervisor the next day and tell him to tell the officers than you for professional treatment of her son and good police work. I’m not big fan of her, but that’s a pretty classy move. Just my two cents.

Where's the evidence that he "mutherf**ked em up and down?" Oh wait, there was none because they didn't turn their cameras on until it was too late. Hmm, could that be part of the problem? Could that be something that their supervisor addressed with them multiple times prior? Could one of those officers have copped an attitude as well, something that had been addressed with him multiple times prior to this situation? An issue that resulted in many unnecessary TRRs because he doesn't know how to speak to people? Oh, and being parked in front of your own house with the engine off can hardly be considered reckless driving.
