Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle’s pick to replace outgoing State’s Attorney Kim Foxx received a key seal of approval Tuesday as the Cook County Democratic Party voted to slate Clayton Harris III in next year’s primary election.
[...]Former Illinois Appellate Court Justice Eileen O’Neill Burke, the only other declared candidate in the state’s attorney race, said in a statement she was “disappointed that the committee overlooked a woman with thirty years of experience in every corner of the courtroom.”
Anyone slated by Prickwrinkle is suspect, especially in the prosecutors office. Let's see if the voters need reminding, too.

I remember Harris when he first started as a young states attorney in traffic court at the old court house at 321. He's a smart guy, not from Chicago and very ambitious. That said he's been Blagos chief of staff and he's held other politically connected jobs. When Prickwinkle is your master, your integrity goes out the window.

Could Harris have been born outside of Chicago? I suppose, but he has lived in Chicago as far back as being one-year old, plus he had a CPD member in his immediate childhood family, but as you alluded, if Prickwrinkle is pushing for him, he apparently has stepped over to the dark side.

Nothing. And, she doesn't need to be White or even get more killed. A review of her performance to date would prompt the exclamation, "Your numbers are looking pretty good!"
