This time, BJ makes a "royal decree" that every media outlet seemingly ignored....except one:
Mayor Brandon Johnson issued a proclamation honoring the life and legacy of Fred Hampton, the former activist and chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party.
“It is my privilege to honor our history with a proclamation that August 30th will be known as Chairman Fred Hampton Day in the City of Chicago,” said Mayor Johnson in a statement.
We've got to ask - why are the democrat and progressive caucuses so determined to honor criminals? There aren't a hundred more worthy candidates in the history books?

There are but people like Karin Yarbrough Jessee Jackson, Danny Davis Luis Gutierrez, Bobby Rush and others run a scholarship fund for his memory. Last year the Village of Maywood helped by Oak Park get a two flat the he lived in when he was a child designated landmark status. It had gone into foreclosure. There is also a sculpture of Hampton. I read the defender article and some other articles and you would think he was a savior of some sort. If you lived in the 1960s you know the Black Panthers were a revolutionary street gang. They had Marxist/Leninist views and sold the writings of Chairman Mao (China) to naive college students to raise money. The had a food program where they supposedly fed thousands. The got food through donations but mainly by putting the arm on store owners, you will contribute or else. They had a lot of confrontations with police. The became affiliated with a Puerto Rican gang (Young Lords) that took over a church at Armitage & Halsted and an Uptown gang (Young Patriots. None of them were nice people.
So the people who run this city, county & state are radical socialists and these are their people, they are not going to honor Clarence Thomas or Condoleezza Rice ever. So you rewrite history and reshape the radicals & scumbags into hero’s and saints. We just did it with scumbag George Floyd who they built a monument to in MN. Chairman Johnson seems excited over Chairman Hampton. Expect a lot more of this.

Even better? The shitty City of Brooklyn Center, a Minneapolis suburb is currently building a monument to Daunte Wright with public money. He was the ne'er do well that tried to drive off from a traffic stop when the officer "tazed" him with her 9mm.
