Back Taxes for CTU Prez
Indiana didn't waste any time:
County officials in Indiana wasted no time billing Chicago Teachers Union president Stacy Davis Gates after determining she received an “unlawful deduction” on a home she owns in South Bend.
The St. Joseph County auditor has now sent the union leader a letter assessing her $1,393 for three years’ worth of back taxes, the maximum allowable by law, plus a $139 penalty.
WGN Investigates reported Stacy Davis Gates filed paperwork affirming the South Bend home was her primary residence in 2007 and seeking a homestead tax exemption. It was granted and remained in effect for the past 16 years, until reporters raised the issue in early November.
"Unlawful deduction" would appear to....violate the law. Is anyone looking at charges?
Or is this another one of those laws that don't apply to certain people if it's politically inconvenient?
And since this was her primary residence, where has she voted from the past sixteen years?

She violated the law! What about voter fraud? How could she vote here if her primary residence is in Indiana?
Might want IRS Criminal Investigation to look into her federal taxes too. If she lies and cheats on a state level, bet her federal returns will be just as fictitious.
Inquiring minds would like to know.....
I am sure she also listed her Illinois residence as primary, so voting may or may not be an issue.

SDG has been accruing pension credits while she's on loan to the CTU in her LOA from CPS. So, since she claimed the Indiana residence was her primary residence to get the property tax break, she's in violation of the CPS Residency Policy. (SDG and her husband didn't claim their Chicago address as their primary address and try to get a Homeowner's Exemption here)
SDG doesn't have a CPS residency waiver to call her Indiana residence her primary one and she's NOT grandfathered-in with the old CPS Residency Policy that allows employees to live outside Chicago.
The question is will CPS OIG William Fletcher have the balls to nail SDG for residency fraud as CPS employees on LOA must still abide by their residency policy? Or will Fletcher be told my his handlers not to ruffle SDG's feathers with a new teacher's contract to negotiated soon?
Did you know... if SDG leaves the CTU and returns to CPS that she'll be in line to get the CPS 'Golden Ticket' and be paid over $110K a year to be a substitute teacher until she retires? This as her old CPS position is filled and she'll be considered a displaced teacher.
Two other former CTU employees have this deal. One is Jesse Sharkey and he was getting paid $109K + medical/benefits to sub at South Shore HS. That's until he wasn't asked back there due to poor classroom management. Jesse is now on LOA from CPS and writing his memoirs and he's also still being paid $87K a year bu the CTU as their former president.
Joseph 'Joey' McDermott is the other former CTU employee (grievance rep fired by the CTU) getting the deal. Joey is at Prosser HS working as a sub and coaching their girls flag football team and drawing a $106K salary and benefits.
Did you know Joey took Kimm Foxx to the Lincoln Park HS prom?

A person (not sure if SDG qualifies as one) can be registered to vote in multiple states and cities in maintaining dual residency. They just can't vote multiple times in the state (governorial) and federal elections (presidential).
How much you want to bet she got a COVID loan.

Did Davis-Gates have an Indiana driver's license to help her get a tax break on her home there? She definitely needed an Indiana state photo ID to show her primary residence.
Did she list her Indiana home on her car insurance to get lower rates and then use her car insurance to get the Homestead Exemption?
Cheap ass Stacy is really a dumb ass.
She's knocking down $300K a year so a $1400 fine is chump change. The only thing that would make it hurt would be termination from her position, revoking of so called teaching credentials, and criminal charges, however that situation will never happen. Ladies and gentlemen, next governor of Illinois, the next senator, the next mayor or the next president of the United States. She's a perfect candidate.

Joey only pays 7% of his own 9% pension contribution as CPS picks up the rest. So $7K of $9K. All non-CPS, city employees must pay their full 9% pension contribution.
Joey also gets 10 paid sick days and 2-3 paid prodessional business days along with being paid for all holidays.
Lincoln Park HS connection Part 2:
Joey hung around with WBEZ/Sun-Times reporter Sarah Karp in high school. Karp gets told what to write by the CTU and at times, CPS. Karp was also the one to give SDG the first soft,interview when it was found out SDG sends her son to a private high school, DeLaSalle.
Joey’s parents hung out with Jackson Potter’s parents.
Corruption why isn’t the fake media reporting on this and she’s not being charged seems to me this is more criminal then Burke trying to get a friend a job !
$1500 for a penalty? That would have been at least $50,000 in C(r)ook County. Bet she already has a "Go Fund Me" site up.

The news media, save for WGN Investigates, will cover up per its city hall marching orders. The Feds/IRS maybe, if they're not chasing Catholics, hunting outspoken/concerned parents and lame School Boards, or stonewalling presidential scandals.

Chicago Police and Fire are the only two agencies in the state that do not get a compounded pension increase.
Since she lived in one state, committed fraud in another, and traveled across state lines with regularity for years, the Feds ought to charge her with some kind of interstate conspiracy to commit fraud and toss her ass in prison for 10 years or so...
CPS teachers, support staff, and administrators hired before 2013 will get back what they actually contributed into their own pensions in their first 3 1/2 years of receiving them after retirement. The rest of their pension money after that comes from Illinois taxpayers.
This is because CPS aka taxpayers have been paying 7% of their employees 9% pension contributions since the mid-80's.

Yep. Joey is King Rat. He put the slate together to take away votes from the Members First slate. SDG's, Potter's, and CORE's biggest nemesis.
Joey, old gangbanger from Galewood, makes $106K as a CPS substitute teacher and brags about a $4 discount on a $60 pair of sunglasses on social media.
