The Cook County Courts strike again:
- Marcus Brewer has the rare honor of being mentioned in two Cook
County sheriff’s office press releases in under a month. The first
announced that he had been swept up in a human trafficking and
prostitution sting. The second announced that deputies and a U.S.
Marshal’s task force tracked him down after he failed to appear in
court.
So what happened after the task force hauled him before a judge for failing to appear in court last week? The judge released him again.
Good to see that Deart's office, along with the Federal Marshal's Task Force, are on the receiving end of Cook count incompetence, too.

I used to work for cook county department of corrections. I was on the sort team,swat team,boxing team,water polo team, tower defense team,drinking team, and such. Sad to see how it is over there. Oh well I have to wake up early,12pm, in order to call off work again. Off to the camper! Cheers!

A long time ago, there was a paperback with a scene set in a Chicago Police Station during a blizzard (70s era). There was a scene of chaos, confusion and the like. The cops were doing their best, but were falling behind the curve.
The character thought to himself, "I always wonder why cops go back, now I wonder why more don't."

All of these offices are held by people elected to do a job, and then they decided to not do their job.

Don’t know where to shoehorn in this comment, but CWB is reporting the two 14 year olds killed in south side alley may have been involved in attempted auto theft just prior to their demise.
Perhaps CWB or Jackass can start a vigilante response count.

Repeat after me. It was not a vigilante.
There were four juveniles in the alley. Find the two survivors, and determine which one had a falling out with his fellow criminals and shot them dead. Find them and you will solve the crime. If you cannot find them? Oh well, it just goes on the mountain of unsolved crimes.
Either way it would be much funnier.
Crook County Judges are the best judges that money can buy. Addressing them as "your honor" is no longer the courthouse inside joke. It's a public joke.
