EPA on Line 2

So these CTA vehicles parking as "warming buses" by all the police stations....

  • these run all night? Or most of it?
  • temperature controlled? Or is this like the old project buildings with the thermostat parked at 90 degrees and the windows open if it gets too hot?
  • some stations are housing  a hundred of more illegals, so multiple buses?
  • these buses, they're diesel fueled? Hybrid natural gas? Fossil fuels, because they certainly they all aren't electric.

Any safety complaints filed for the exhaust fumes drifting into the stations?

Any global warming tickets being issued? Any climate protests at all?

We'll start believing in "man made climate change" when the people in charge start acting like they believe it, too. Because the carbon footprint of keeping 15,000 illegals warm deserves some mention from the politicians.

I don’t know what the Department does now for emission testing, but years ago you were told to take the squad to the emissions center for testing and make sure you got the card that said it passed. All the cars would pass even the beaters with the black oil smoke coming out of the tailpipe. You could even smell it in the passenger compartment. I would ask the testers how they could pass such a vehicle. They would just say the computer says the car passed. It’s all fake.

We need the climate activists to get on this. What will we owe for our carbon footprint? John Kerry,
United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate has some time to shoot in on his globetrotting private jet to analyze this problem.

City Ordinance "Equity"

Industrial zones become residential zones and now diesel idling laws ignored.

Three Minutes or Less: Chicago Slashes Engine Idling Times

Chicago joins the list of cities to severely cut diesel-engine idling times. City council members recently passed an ordinance that slashes the idling time from ten minutes, permitted by Illinois’ state regulation, down to three minutes in Chicago.

Emergency vehicles are exempt from the city ordinance, as are airport support vehicles. The regulation is not applied to operating engines in certain standing situations, including: vehicles in traffic; using the vehicle to run auxiliary equipment for which the engine’s power is required; standing for service, government inspection or repair; or supplying air conditioning, if outside temperatures reach more than 80 degrees. The regulation does not apply when operating an auxiliary power unit or generator in place of the main diesel engine; operating engines for mechanical requirements; running engines for diesel particulate filters; and running as part of the manufacturer’s recommended pre-shutdown cooling.

The ordinance aims to cut down on the metro-area’s air pollution problem, and packs a $250 fine for operators who idle their engines for longer than the three-minute allowance. Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C., also restrict diesel-powered engine idling to less than three minutes.

With any luck those buses will all have exhaust leaks. So how many paid bus monitors will be required? Of course all that fuel was budgeted for? NYC ticket idea is good idea, except you need a passport to leave and enter another country.

Buls--t! I took a car for the emissions test and it failed. Brought the paperwork back to the front office. They called motor maintenance and within a half hour I get told to take the car to the area. Dropped it off and got a pool car. A couple days later got called to pick it up with instructions to take it immediately for the emissions test. Passed.

It doesn't fit THEIR narrative. John Kerry flies all over the world on a private jet, but us "peons" are to pay the price and you know, the politicians will be exempt!

And the mayor is going to NYC. Well, y'all, when he was to go to El Paso, he cancelled. "I have a black wife, 3 black kids." So....what changed, in a week?

JSO protestors have issued a stern statement about this. "If this continues JSO will be out to address the issue in 2024"

Or as soon as it warms up in Chicago. It's pretty hard to sell global warming to a people in the middle of a Midwest winter.

Come One Come All.

This is great news for the million man illegal immigrant march to Chicago, illegals trying to cross the Darien Gap swamp rain forest.

El Nino Batters Panama Canal With Worst Drought In 73 Years

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/el-nino-batters-panama-canal-worst-drought-73-years

What has happened? In October 2023, there has been 41% less rainfall than usual, lowering Gatun Lake to unprecedented levels for this time of year.

PCA said they're juggling between guaranteeing water supply to 50% of the population and maintaining operations in the canal:

Therefore, with less than two months left until the end of the rainy season, the Canal and the country face the challenge of the upcoming dry season with a minimum water reserve that must guarantee supply for more than 50% of the population and, at the same time, maintain the operations of the interoceanic waterway.

=====

Story is focused on the effects on Panama Canal operations however think about how much easier travel will be for the illegals trying to cross the Darien Gap

I would say line the buses up outside BJ's house on his street and let them idle all night. By early morning their will be a fog of diesel fumes all over his neighborhood. Plus add the porta potties along the curb. It will smell just like Caracas.

Too bad the CTA got rid of all of those old GM buses with the loud Detroit Diesel engines that blew out black smoke. It would have been like an old Greyhound bus station along his street.

Let BJ live in the sh.. he is creating. See how long that would last.

CFD has a couple warning busses that are only to be used if there’s a fire and residents are displaced. Often it takes human services and Catholic charities hours until they can arrive on scene. The busses are being deployed. It’s true.
