Illinois Shrinking?

Not just population if voters ever get this on the ballot:

  • Some say the southern Illinois boundary line should be changed so that eight downstate counties can become part of Missouri. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul disagrees.

People in downstate Illinois have always felt more of a kinship with neighboring red states like Missouri, Kentucky and Indiana than they do with Chicago. In 2021, the idea of dividing Illinois into two states got some traction from supporters in 27 of Illinois’ 102 counties.

The New Illinois movement was inspired by West Virginia’s break from Virginia in 1863 during the Civil War. When Virginia seceded to form the Confederacy, West Virginia broke off to remain with the Union as a separate state.

Eric Ivers of Jerseyville, a Jersey County Board member, sympathizes with the Illinois counties that want to become a new state. However, he thinks it is more feasible to move the boundary between Jersey County and a handful of like-minded downstate counties so that they can be part of Missouri.

Of course, the chances of this actually happening are next-to-zero. but it hints at the disconnect downstate has from Chicago's dominance of state politics.

Over the past few years, there have been similar, serious attempts to split CA, WA, OR too (I believe), at least. FL and GA in past decade. MN the year after the cleansing fires of St George of Floyd. Several other states within the past generation have at least half-assed this idea. Balkanization, here we come. Not sure I want to be around for that particular party.

How about just giving KC MO to Kansas too?

Fixing it is easy, just create a border dispute and a federal court case surrounding the selected counties.

Imagine.

Crook County becomes the new Sovereign State of Crook.

The rest of Illinois becomes the Sovereign State of True Illinois.

The quantity of House of Representives for the former diminishes a bit.

The quantity of House of Representatives for the latter diminishes a shit ton.

Effectively, an even trade.

Practically, a gift from God.

Socially, a shedding of parasites most beneficial to the latter and quite bothersome to the former.

Then, the problem would be controlling/vetting the exodus from the former to the latter.

Dupage, Lake and Will counties would become the buffer zones.

The ensueing antics would null the value of any reality tv.

And the abundance of eager videographers would be setting the web blogs on fire.

What a time it would be, to still be alive!

It is a constitutuonaly succeding, new state forming movement, with legitimacy and rights.

California is close. There are several other states doing it as well.

Of our 102 counties in Illinois, 42 of us are united under the constitutional method.

34 other counties are trying their own thing.

New Illinois is trying to get those united with us.

I have contact info or can get it for about anywhere. Hell Cook and Lake residents are in on this.

We are currently convening our 4th Constitutional Convention.

Like you rights? Get on board, this is another way to keep those rights.

Leave Illinois Without Moving – Demand a New State

New Illinois is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with the mission of educating Illinoisans about their right, under the U.S. Constitution, to pursue the formation of a new state.

US Census estimates reports Cook County population has declined 3.1% between April 2020 and July 2022. We lost 166,230 residents. Gonna need a lot more illegal immigrant buses to make that loss up

Think about that. Cook Co. lost over 166 thousand people and they can't find places to put 20,000 illegal immigrants so thousands of dollars need to be spent on enriching politically connected property owners via camps GTFOH

https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/cookcountyillinois/PST045222

It's not just Cook county either

In the list of top 100 most populated counties in the USA Illinois holds four spots. Three of the four show population decline estimates Cook -3.2%, Dupage -1.3%, Lake -0.7& Will Co is up +0.1%

On the other hand If you're looking for a career move to counties that are growing Montgomery County in Texas is up +9.4%, Collin Co. Tx +8.9%, Polk Co. Fla, +8.6%

Which has the potential for better career advancement a county shrinking by -3.2% or a county growing by 8-9% you think?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_most_populous_counties_in_the_United_States

And you think it's a coincidence that the people north of Richmond used massive FEMA flood insurance increases thereby pushing up housing costs to slow/stop the migration?

FEMA Prolly part of Bidens Inflation reduction act cuz you know everything they say is the exact opposite

Illinois as a whole lost 248,600 residents since 2010 US Census estimates. However more (so called conspiracy) replacement theory illegal immigrants are on the way to offset those losses while FEMA is pushing up housing flood insurance costs in the red states.

And by the way have you seen the FEDERAL grant programs for commercial real estate conversions to stem the out flows from blue cities?

White House Aims to Fast-Track Commercial Conversions

Population control

Perhaps they shouldn't have murdered all those people with the Corona sickness and the so-called "safe and effective" bullshit that followed and is still on-going killing millions more. Epidemiologist must be gagged refusing to say anything about the excess deaths going on.

The plan prolly buried in the New Green Deal somewhere cuz you know humans are responsible for global warming so the more they take out the better the planet.

Besides with AI automation and robotics we just don't need people to fight wars and make goods anymore. Automation is more obedient and does not question the authority

In US History, there have only been TWO(2) changes to State Borders. SCC mentioned West Virginia being created from Virginia in 1863, during the Civil War. In 1820, Maine was created from Massachusetts. During the Colonial Era and the first years of the Republic, Maine was a County of Massachusetts.

Some neighborhoods in the city need to do the same, why not "gated communities" with their own laws to prevent the felons from attacking the peaceful people? When you hear about Illinois losing population, the 2020 census shows that it's all downstate, where conservatives are moving out. The same census shows that the collar counties to Chicago are gaining population, with unfortunately most of those people being liberal and turning the suburbs into mini-Chicagos. So Illinois will be deep blue for a very long time, and will continue to go into the toilet.

Discontent folks in at least 12 Oregon counties want to join Idaho.

From the site listed below, "To actually change state borders would require an act of Congress and approval from state legislatures in both states, but the county votes act as a gauge of interest. Organizers behind the “Greater Idaho” movement say their cause is a long shot, but the group now has seen 12 Eastern Oregon counties voted in favor of measures about the proposal". https://www.deseret.com/2023/6/12/23754682/greater-idaho-split-oregon

Can't see Congress and approval from state legislatures in both states approving the switch to Idaho or the switch to Missouri. But worth a try.

Would be less Misery for folks in the selected Illinois counties in Missouri than their permanent state of misery called Ill-inois. Southern Illinois is a very pretty area.

Got a note from a guy at work asking about property taxes in Indiana. We're not friends, but he talked today at the office. His Taxes went from 8000 five years ago to 13000. He's dying, has his kids in private school too. The teachers unions are bleeding home owners dry and they can't even send their kids to the schools. The unions will drip the last drop of blood out of the working class. Good luck. You people stay there, quit polluting other parts of the country. You built it, you live it

Let the SHTF and the games begin. Make it so as many people as possible know what's happening, what they did, and how they did it. Get about 30 border counties to start doing this and watch the Democrats lose what little is left of their minds...
