CWB has been on fire this week with stories, topped by this happy event:
Chicago police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was shot and killed in West Town on Saturday afternoon. A concealed carry holder told police he shot the man because the man and three other people targeted him in an armed robbery.
The shooting occurred in an alley behind the 1700 block of West Cortez around 4:51 p.m.
In a media statement, the Chicago Police Department claimed “a 19-year-old male victim was in the alley when he sustained a gunshot wound to the chest by an unknown offender. The victim was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced. Area Three Detectives are investigating.”
However, officers at the scene said the shooter was a 68-year-old concealed carry holder who remained on the scene. He reportedly told them that he shot the man, who celebrated his 19th birthday last week, in self-defense during an armed robbery. Three other people who participated in the robbery ran from the scene, according to initial information.
Well done old timer.
The investigating Detectives really ought to have an ammo fund for those CCL's making our jobs that much easier.

I hope Crimesha leaves this innocent old man alone. The only criminal charges she should be pursuing are robbery and felony murder charges against the three other perpetrators.

With each passing day I have a firmer belief that should I have to dispatch one of these feral criminals, I would police my brass and walk away.
If the police knock on my door to “talk about the incident “, my response would be get a warrant and I’ll bring my lawyer.
Being retired police I feel you have even more scrutiny than a CC in a shooting.

How did the reporter know he celebrated his 19th birthday recently if he is dead and his accomplices fled the scene of the crime, and why does it even matter? I guess they couldn’t come up with the criminal’s kindergarten graduation picture, and felt they had to do something to personalize the loser. What the media should be focusing on is that the victim gets to celebrate his 69th birthday.
Liberal media never passes up the chance to make the criminal into a victim. Surprised lib reporter didn’t stress that the dead criminal was a teenager, they love to do that in an attempt to minimize the criminals bad deeds.

Im a working cop and I got my CCL ... qualify every 5 years instead of every year upon retirement ... right you cannot carry in certain places but I am not worried about violating some midemeanor nonsense. arrest me. I am concerned about saving my own life and being in the right in a deadly force incident.
At the very least, somebody should offer to clean this LAW ABIDING and RESPONSIBLE victims pistol. Well done by the Victim here. Another honor roll student who's parent must be so proud of their hard working son who was really just a life support system for a rectum. At least he won't be a baby daddy to 9 kids in 6 different neighborhoods. That's not racist either. Look at the factual trends.

I can't remember the movie preview that I saw yesterday at the theater but they showed nazi's marching and then immediately a white guy wearing a Make America Great Again hat. I'm not racist, nor is my family and we all are Trump supporters. For my folks at work, we all bleed red and we all count on each other. This division isn't accurate. We can bicker about car brands and sports teams but the assumption that Trump supporters are Nazi's is spreading a false narrative.
