Another 311 Theft?

Rumors that a Captain, assigned to Alternate Response, had his car stolen from the lot.

No idea why 311 has a captain, but does he still have his assigned city vehicle?

Which was taken - city SUV or personal car?

This is almost as bad as a member of the Hijacking Task Force having their personal car stolen from the OEMC parking lot where the gates aren't working.

If the captain has a department car stolen ....how did it happen?
If the captain had a personal car.... US brand (sympathy) Foreign Brand (no-sympathy)

Buy American/Support American Companies

My bet is it was a personally owned foreign car.

A car stolen from the OEMC parking lot where the gates aren't working -it's shocking. It's almost as shocking as rumors of gambling at Ricks Cafe (think Bogart/Casablanca).

I got a C note says the offender who boosted that Hijacking Task Force members car was let on out on zero bond for hijacking vehicles.

I know. Maybe they can call in that super duper high tech federal helicopter so they can track him down and arrest him for the 5th time this week.

OEMC parking lot gates work half the time and thereā€™s rarely a guard in the shack. For those who donā€™t know the OEMC parking lot is a notorious dip spot for local officers and dispatchers. Itā€™s big, very dark and not monitored. Guys working first watch in 012 got a good little thing going on if you catch my drift.

We get blamed by the city officials because we "didn't secure our valuables."

Why doesn't the city provide secure parking for your vehicles? Why don't they provide security for you as leave the building?

The city is just as responsible as the homeowner.

There is always a captain assigned to ARS. It was his personal car, all caught on camera and occurred at noonā€¦
OEMC theft was not a hijacking team car, it was an OEMC employee, and yes the gates were not working for several weeks and private security guards were sleeping in the guard shack during the theft.

Think we're not top heavy? A few weeks ago and from a list of rank of Commander and above I counted it was either 78 or 87...sorry for not remembering exact number. Make of it what you will!

Letā€™s get this straight! There is a Rank of Captain assigned to the ARS? When I got stripped awaiting investigation it was a Lieutenant who was pregnant? And when she left it was a Sergeant with a bad knee? After two years of sitting there my investigation closed and I was back to patrol! Never told what happen just sitting at Call Back?

Curious why headquarters parking lot is overflowing on a Tuesday. Went to the medical section on a Tuesday at 10 am and headquarters parking lot was overflowing and cars were parked on the grass. I remember this when there was the forced overtime but that has been long done. Why are there so many people at headquarters? Did Larritorious give every single hookup a cushy spot there? How many people are assigned to or detailed to headquarters now?

remember back when the officer was shot and killed by homie in the 007th district parking lot after working special employment? then superintendent weiss asked the secret service to do a report on how secure all the police parking lots are. funny how he never released their findings that said "hahahahaha you have no security in all the parking lots"

The only time a captain is an X/O is when there is a commander and the captain is then the X/O. If they are assigned to a unit with no commander then they are not an X/O. They are just a plain ol captain.

All foreign cars are manufactured here nowadays. Most of the parts are imported. Fk American cars, I had nothing but troubles with them. My Toyota is literally indestructible.

There has NOT always been a Captain assigned to call back. They had to in the last couple of years because there were LT POW's.

That position was always a Lt spot.

Alas, if only the victim of thiz heinous crime were to have driven:

An electric vehicle

Or

A manual transmission vehicle

Or

A hooptie of dubious functionality

The first being keyed to the spunk dna sample splurted into the designated key hole

The second being beyond the ability of common thieves to operate

The third being as undesirable a possession as the anal polyps on our mayor's upper lip.

But, noooooooooo......

The victim had to choose a vehicle most wanted by the thieves.

The easy peesy bling blinding slick dick ride of the well endowed.

Shaky Dave D is the captain. Totally ball-less house mouse, clout baby his whole career. Heā€™s always been afraid of his own shadow. Never should have made lieutenant. Had no business being a lieutenant. Scored in the high 290ā€™s. He couldnā€™t handle the ā€œresponsibilitiesā€ and ā€œpressuresā€ as a new captain in 019. So they created a new do-nothing spot in ARS. 1st of all, why in the fuck does ARS have a captain let alone a tack home car???

Why is a Captin assigned to 311????

Well because, thanx to copa it is one of the largest units in the city!
Run the numbers: there are More POā€™s and Sgtā€™s assigned there, then most of the north side districts.

Officers have been carjacked, robbed, cars and catalytic converters stolen in lot.
Since most are stripped they have no way to defend themselves.

Probably over 40 years ago, I heard on the radio of a PO calling out a stolen car. He had run the plate or anything before hand. The dispatcher asked him how he knew the car was stolen. HIs response was classic-- because it's my f****** car.

It had been Lieutenants in charge at 311 until the very beginning of 2019. Since then it's been Captains.

Old retired guy here
Why , when did CPD replace lieutenant inspectors with captains? Captains must be cowards
Inspectors should be from rank of sergeant , they do nothing but write upminor infractions.
