"Safe" CTA Conehead?
Is this why the Department is cancelling OT and making CTA "Special Enjoyment" the only option?
A woman who was found “stomped” and robbed on a CTA Red Line train earlier this month died over the weekend.
CTA employees found Vivian Morgan, 61, unresponsive and lying across the seats of a train car about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 4 near the Roosevelt station, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Morgan was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead there at 7:15 a.m. Saturday. An autopsy Sunday was inconclusive, according to the medical examiner’s office.
The actual rumor is all OT money has been redirected to paying for illegals, but you can see why there's a push to make CTA "safe".....or at least more safe than usual.

Safe for whom? Isn't most of CTAs ridership these days composed of illegals using busses as a shelter or vagrants using them as a rolling motel?
Time to stop the CTA from traveling to the suburbs. All those violent suburbanites should be kept out of peaceful Chicago.
Keep the violent suburban criminals off the CTA and out of Chicago.

So when I started reading “Safe CTA Conehead” I thought about the above story where the CTA private security guard’s K-9 dog who was muzzled was battered by the offender. The dog couldn’t even fight back.
The guards were able to hold the mope for the police. This is outlandish, why have muzzled dogs who cannot protect themselves, the security guards or the public? The security firms might as well use stuffed animals.
The offender had been arrested 59 times, done prison time, got out in Jul, was on parole. At his hearing Judge Barbara Dawkins released him with a nighttime curfew.
I started reading stories regarding crimes on the CTA. The biggest failure is the politicians funding the connected private security companies over a hundred million dollars in the last few years. Some of the security guards commented they make about $24.00 an hour, given 20 hours training, handcuffs, flashlight and a radio. They said they are threatened and sometimes spit upon. It’s hard to figure out how much the security firms make, as over the last two years there were contracts for 31 million, 70 million and three million.
So maybe OT money is being redirected to paying for illegals but crime is up (as everywhere else) because of the political mismanagement of dealing with CTA crime with an inept program that has failed. The politicians and the courts are to blame.
There needs to be a cost analysis study done of this security program. What have they done to show that it is working?

Money has to come from somewhere and the Police are on the bottom of the list, no matter what will be posted next, the police presence is of value especially on CTA. Just wait until the Michigan Ave. merchants start complaining.

Why does she have a security detail, are they people of color? She has no use for Whites. How many Officers are assigned to her family still?
I don't ride the trains anymore since retirement, but I have family members that do. And, from what they tell me conditions are God awful; pot smoke, human waste, panhandling, intimidation, dirty cars and the list goes on. Bring back the old CTA police that Jane disbanded back in the early 80's.

Makes perfect sense to jeopardize public safety and give that money to a bunch of illegals who have no business being in America. Only a Democrat would think that’s a good idea. Fucking idiots !
Conehead should ride the cta without his massive 150+ copper security detail, he literally has a platoon of valets, why not hire private stumblebum security that way they could relate to "keepin it real!"
45 years ago I used to stop for a few at Mikes bar on 39th street near Ashland. A guy use to come In who looked like a bum right off of skid row. Turned out he was cpd mass transit copper. Rode the subways in the evenings catching Amish yutes robbing folks. Need to go back to those days again. Ah shit! I sound like my old man. The "old" days!

That is true was working for a security company at weed stores we got 30 company got 60 but the weed stores effective 01Jan24 went to all unarmed guards, the rich pos that own them don't want to retired coppers! Why cant brandon hire some for his detail? His detail costs us taxpayers over 22 million a year any investigative reporters left?
Wanna make CTA "safe"? Level the playing field, take down those useless "No Guns" signs and let the law abiding legally carry concealed firearms on the CTA.
As soon as an 84 yr old black grandmother blows away a few of these feckless fucks with a .38 snubbie, then steps over the bodies at her stop, the sooner all this bullshit with out-of-control savages comes to an end.
