The CFD shooting scandal is set to blow wide open. There are political players pulling all sorts of strings behind the scenes, desperate to hide what they can. Most curious is that this guy was released on Electronic Monitoring while the victim is still in the hospital with a gunshot through his face. Doctors still don't know if he'll ever have any movement below his neck.
Someone posted a comment that, for legal reasons, we were advised ran into some gray areas, but this one didn't:

It’s a steamy tale of scandal, S3x lies and videotape. Imagine being in charge and the spouse of who you’re having a romp with his holding video evidence of you acting very unbecoming. Imagine the favors being asked and how bad you want it to go away.
Allegedly, there wasn't even a hit-and-run, but a verbal altercation. The victim's efforts to flee resulted in the aggravated battery with vehicle before aggravated battery with gun.
There is an extra-marital affair, a Ring doorbell video (which may or may not be missing from CFD's version of IAD), a blackmailed hiring decision based on keeping said video secret.
Might be an interesting weekend at Public Safety HQ....and a few divorce attorneys' offices.

During my time on the job I witnessed and knew of the corruption that is endemic in the city. The hiring, promotion, assignments, clout,nepotism etc that ruled the day. Listen to the podcasts of Cooley and Finnegan, dirtbags themselves, but listen to the absolute corruption politically that is everywhere in the city, county and state. A man is almost fatally shot over a car accident by a city employee and is in critical condition, on life support and possibly will be paralyzed for life yet he's released out of custody. There are glaring signs he is clouted through a brewing scandal of family members in high positions of CFD. Dozens of alderman go to prison, state reps, senators, Greylord, GamBat, Silver Shovel, parking meters, Skyway and on and on. What an absolute shithole Chicago is. Try some of the things that are covered up if you are not heavy enough and watch what happens.
If even only half of what is being said here is true, I would suspect that the victims family has already been in contact with the city. Mountains will be moved to keep the story quiet

Correct. Which is right around the time the criminal FF got the job. It’s an old story per se but the secret hire surely backfired for lack of better words.
“Give me a cushy spot at one of the slowest houses in the city and get my brother a job or I drop the video” also keep in mind scorned woman was CPD at one time.
I don't even care that she was banging a married subordinate assigned to the academy.
Or that within her career she passed over hundreds, perhaps a thousand or more higher scoring white men and women on promotional exams through affirmative action, it was then in the CFFU Local 2 contract under APPENDIX G.
And the entire CFD rank and file knows about the RING doorbell video, and the cover up going all the way to then mayor Lightfoots office.
What I care about was that 3 out of the 4 LODD's in 2023 were preventable, (1 was a heart attack) and she still has her job.
Why aren't they placed on 8 or 12 hour shifts? The days of having to travel by horseback to the firehouse are long over. The number of fires is way down from what it was years ago too.
Sounds similar to a connected police Sgt. shooting an autistic kid in Morgan Park and walking with a slap on the wrist. On the other hand you can be a police office of a different race and slap a hand cuffed prisoner and the penitentiary is in your future.
Girl with the video footage is former cpd. Flipped over to cfd around 2019. Pretty sure fire commish is married to either current or retired cpd.

Holt been on the job over 30 years and always and I mean always was inside never seen a fire never pulled a hose never raised a ladder once a total DEI appointment passing over good serious hardcore legacy types but those types are whyte so you know how that goes. Cfd is loaded with DEI promotees which is probably why there were 4 LODD in 2023. You have inexperienced career “duckers” quarterbacking the plays now. Like someone said here don’t expect any repercussions at all everyone involved are protected so this will get swept under the rug like everything else they pull.

Ring cameras have quite the range and the recording area can be adjusted.
Does she even know the definition of all the fire apparatus? How about all the tools? Can she even hook up a hose to the hydrant? Probably not her husband also had a big job on the Chicago police department. It’s a shame what happened to their son a great kid trying to save somebody else and was killed, however because they justify these to getting these big jobs because so many other people lose children in this lawless city.

Use that in any lawsuit against the city for residency, I'd love for any judge to uphold that bs of double standards in a court of law in Federal court or even IL. But apparently anyone can break the law/policies it's just if you're juiced and the right color.
