Is she still in charge of IAD?
- Fyi, a few days ago, Talley's felony nephew got pinched in 011 again, this time with a ghost gun. Multiple felony convictions, and the ASA's office immediately shot down felony uuw charges as if it was already decided he was automatically getting a free pass. The corruption continues....
We realize she can't be held responsible for all of her relatives - sins of the father (or nephew) shouldn't visited upon the son (or auntie). But there used to be red flags that would restrict certain assignments. You don't want the son of an alleged mobster in Vice or Intelligence because the temptation might be too great....or the optics are bad.
Though as an aside, we think both of those may have happened.....anyone else remember?
But after the niece got tagged in Yolanda's Lexus with 42 grams of heroin, why would you put Talley in charge of the Bureau tasked with holding everyone else responsible to policy, procedure, ethics and actual laws?
And why would you RWOC a multiple felon nephew with a "ghost gun"? Isn't the entire political structure all about the banning of firearms nowadays?

I think most people would like Talley if the met her and hung out with her outside of work. She’s a lot of fun, At least she used to be. Haven’t seen her in a while. She was very ambitious and definitely succeeded within the cpd. I think we could probably do a lot worse than her as head of IAD.
There is an intrinsic difference between being in power and being empowered.
Whenever the difference is disregarded, this is what results.
Being in power is transitory, temporary and delusionally addictive.
Being empowered is lasting, humbling and inspires to honorable service to those who have empowered you.
Granted, these current fuckwads may have reason to believe that those who have empowered them are of the same fuckwad quality, so, perhaps, even logically they presume that their fuck wads will be enthusiastically approved.

Let's face it: CPD failed to investigate and terminate CPD employees who committed PPP loan fraud. It's ridiculously easy to determine PPP fraud, to confirm identify of individuals who received fraudulent PPP monies. Often little effort was made to disguise identity in PPP applications. That CPD, and City of Chicago and Cook County, tolerate this fraud is clear indication of both how compromised and corrupted our local governments truly are, and that are political leaders happily tolerate that corruption and blatant misuse of taxpayer monies.

I've worked for Talley a couple of times in my career. She's far from being the police now, but she was. Now shes a politician in my view. I'm not sure if she was the Lt or DC in 15, but one night she was out on the street on midnights. There was a standard Adams and Leamington shots fired and everyone shows up for the circus.
