It's Likely the CTU
- A newspaper ad praising and thanking Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for things he has done since taking office raised a few eyebrows on Monday.
The ad has been causing a bit of a stir, because the group that paid for it has a vague name and is not registered with the state as a political organization. So, who is behind it is a mystery.
Johnson talked to seniors at a bingo on Monday, sounding very much like he is in campaign mode, even though his next election is still three years away.
"We've eliminated sub-minimum wage. We have the largest paid time off," Johnson said.
CTU has money to burn. They own Conehead. They know his numbers are nearly as bad as president potatohead, so they have to start an astroturf campaign supporting his endeavors.
Their contract is coming up shortly, he's about to eliminate cops in schools (who they hate), eliminate selective enrollment schools (which they also hate) and he just announced the demise of shotspotter (which they also hate....school-to-prison-pipeline ya know!)

There's zero chance someone took out a full page ad supporting this moron without him knowing exactly who's behind it. There's also zero chance that anyone holds him accountable when it becomes known that he lied about this. This is also a very obvious attempt at pushing out campaign ads disguised as something else. The CTU is the new version of Nobody, Nobody Sent in Chicago. They're copying the playbook of corrupt Chicago politicians like Burke(r) King, Fast Eddie, and King Richie and taking control of the city's purse strings as where there's money, there's power.
One thing is the CTU has tons of transplants from other cities and states leading their machine. BJ from Elgin, SDG from Indiana, etc. It would be interesting to find out where all the CTU officers came from before setting up camp to help destroy Chicago.

After Rahm closed 50 schools in one year, the CTU made the city promise in contract negotiations not to close any more schools until 2025 or 2026.
What should be looked into is schools getting 1-2 extra assistant principals with small enrollment increases at these schools and all these bullshit made up a sounding positions at CPS headquarters and Network offices along with more lawyers in CPS Law (when CPS spends millions a year in outside legal costs) and staff at the CPS OIG's office.
The word is 4-5 employees im the CPS OIG's office are violating the CPS Residency Policy and why that office rarely investigates Residency violators at each school.
