In a truly just system, these corrupt f#$%ers would be facing jail time and ruinous punitive damages:
The chairman and another member of the state’s parole board have resigned in light of the board’s controversial decision to release a convicted felon who then allegedly stabbed a pregnant former girlfriend and killed her 11-year-old son just a day after leaving prison.
Pritzker initially announced the resignation of LeAnn Miller, the member of the Illinois Prisoner Review Board who oversaw the decision to release Crosetti Brand after he allegedly violated his parole by showing up at the woman’s home just over a month before the deadly attack.
The governor didn’t say why Miller had chosen to step down but indicated she played a key role in the flawed decision to place Brand back on the street. Pritzker noted she conducted the pivotal parole hearing and “prepared a draft order provided to a panel of two additional members for concurrence.”
Pritzker said she ultimately made “the correct decision in stepping down.”
As a number of our commenters pointed out, Miller was....Fata$$'s choice for the spot.
AND....
He pushed for her over the objections of numerous Republican legislators because she had a bad record at the prisoner review board.
The Slum Times takes great pains to point out she's a "republican." But any "republican" appointed by Fat$$ is a RINO 100% of the time, merely filling a roll for Fata$$ to claim "bipartisanship" while the appointee always seems to vote with democrats.
Meanwhile, an 11-year-old kid is dead after trying to protect his mother from being killed.

Same goes for supervisors who willingly and blatantly violate every aspect of our contract without consequence. They know they’ll never be held personally responsible and the lack of consequences only emboldens them.
Just don’t expect your FLOP to lead the charge on holding management accountable as they’re in bed with the 5th Floor.

I don’t think the safety act is responsible. They put the guy in jail after he made the threats but then because he changed his mind and stopped admitting that he threatened her this bitch who resigned said there wasn’t enough evidence to hold him.
So whether or not it was exactly parts of the safety act, the philosophy that there’s too many black men in jail caused the safety act and this. And even if Burke wins, as she should, that philosophy still reigns in the courts as long as Tim Evans is chief judge. He was up for retention in 2022 I think, he should’ve been voted out but of course nobody voted or payed attention.
Also, the second person who resigned, the chairman of this board who did not write the opinion, appears to be a white downstate cop. Although if big boy appointed him he’s probably a liberal POS.

The only thing that haunts him is an extra 200lbs. This minor speed bump will not affect his political career in any way. The person they've chosen to be responsible has already stepped down, so the matter is closed. If anything, it will be seen as a victory for fatass, because he "cleaned house" to get rid of the fall guy, when he actually did nothing. Illinois voters are too shortsighted and dumb to let this change their vote. The icing on the cake is that they get to blame a "republican," further insulating fatass from any blame.
They like to stand on the graves of children who died in school shootings when they want to push their gun control nonsense. How many children need to die before someone is allowed to point out to them that their idiotic policies are the cause? We already know the spike in violent crime caused by offenders out on bail, probation, parole, etc. doesn't register with the ones allowing them out. I guess we need more dead kids before they'll see that they need to keep violent criminals locked up.

How can it be that only one person makes the decision to let a dangerous felon out of jail? If Pritzker was a real governor, he could have the entire parole board resign, reappoint, and closely monitor them...but there are far too many connected people there...

Years ago, yes years ago, I had an offender in custody who was on parole and called the parole board . The agent I spoke with said there are 3 things that are make believe, Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and a parole violation. This was probably 30 yrs ago. Not much has changed, not much will change.
On a side note, enjoy the new Cook County states attorney, Clayton Harris. The vote margin is down to under 1700 with votes still trickling in that need to be counted. 6 days after the election and election board officials say it may take 10 more days before a winner is declared. The steal is in so what do ya think is gonna happen in November?

Don’t know who the hate crime is against. I’m white, I like white, I’m surrounded by white and none of us have white eyes. Maybe he hates albinos?
Tribune article says “Pritzker on Monday afternoon praised Shelton, a former Champaign police sergeant, for ‘providing a model of dedication to public service’ and working ‘diligently to keep Illinoisans safe and uphold our justice system.’ But hours earlier, the governor was more critical of Miller in announcing her departure.”
Both resigned, Shelton was the head of board, Miller was member who investigated, drafted decision, and got approval from two other members. Yeah a sergeant from a college town police force, most likely a liberal pos.
Illinois has a bad track record of protecting children. Just look at the corrupt and laughable DCFS which always fails no matter who the governor is and no matter who they appoint to head up DCFS. I had a federal job for a few years and had to interact with DCFS on a regular basis. The investigators that I had to interact with should never have had the job: liars and lazy, falsifying reports and doing shoddy investigations. And, they were all college graduates. Illinois just is too corrupt to ever do the right thing

The Duluth City Council wasted much time on a Gaza Ceasefire Resolution. Because those in that part of the world really care what people in a mostly unheard of small city in northern Minnesota think...about anything. It was voted down 5 to 4. Hundreds of people lined up to speak for and against. Try getting those same people passionate about something that impacts their own community, like soft on crime policies and replacing worth less democrap politicians.
I am sure he's better now, let him out again, total rehabilitation. Yea progressives.

I was ready to give you a retraction. I honestly don’t know why I thought he was white. So I went looking for a picture and honestly can’t find one. I don’t know how you know he is “very conservative” or how that can be proven or disproven, but when searching I found this. I don’t think most readers of this blog would consider his actions in paroling a cop killer “conservative”. So you might be correct but I don’t think so.

I’m SURE these people would be tough but I think after both the criminals & the public knows 9 out of 10 paroles are denied. Crime will go down & the public knows it’s a little safer out there. It’s funny you say put one on the other leg. I received a picture yesterday from a relative standing in line at a Chipotle. The picture is of one of the usual suspects in the typical costume with the perfect Jordan’s and tight sweats and the motherfucker is wearing TWO FUCKING ANKLE MONITORS. He’s either fucking proud of them or the scum doesn’t own a pair of real pants that would hide them. And this is in a suburb far from the city.
Then later I thought how can he be out of his house. I remembered some rule where they can get out of the house 48 hours every so often so they can apply for jobs and other crucial errands. What a fucking joke.
